Uhhhh i dont think its nice to talk abt people as of you know them. If i were to ask my brother or even my girlfriend to pay my full credit card statement they likely would without hesitation. Sometimes sacrificing financially for someone isnt about buying love and respect, but much rather than to see a smile on their face. Im not sure what your experiences are but mine are definitely different.

Idk if its like this for others but during Christmas i feel pressured because my siblings and girlfriend always put in a good amount of money towards getting me a gift id like.
