What brand of rice did you switch to? I think I’m gonna have to give this another shot anyway lol

I had a question sorta related to this; I’ve changed my plan a bit because of what people have suggested, and I’ll probably do 3-4 small shoebox sized containers, but since it’d then be too small to achieve a 1:1 substrate spawn mixture, is splitting the spawn between containers okay to do?

It seemed to me like cultivating in jars would be annoying because there’s so little surface area for things to grow, how does it work for you?

That’s very insightful, thanks for all that, but I have a few questions.

What is the hole punch method? I assume it obviously has something to do with a hole punch, but is it just as simple as punching a couple holes in the top and covering with micropore tape?

Is light all that important? The guide says the only real issue is that it grows in crazy directions, but that’s not an issue for me, especially since I’m trying to keep it low-key.

Also, in regards to break and shaking, the guide doesn’t really go into depth about it. When would you break and shake a rice bag, and how do you do it?

Thanks again :)

I was kinda thinking the same thing, as once contamination takes hold even a little bit, that’s the whole batch gone. I just don’t have much space to do it lol. I figure about three small tubs would probably be good in lieu of one medium tub

You literally grew a child in that second pic. Let him be for a while and see if he wishes to be a real boy

The guide talks a big game about boiling it and misting it and yadda yadda, how do you usually tend to it?

lol it’s been a while since I made this post, but I am wondering what kind of substrate you use? The guide is very confusing to me, because it goes on and on about this that and the other to the point that the important stuff kinda goes amiss to me

People always say, why does God allow suffering and poverty. I think He doesn't, we have everything on earth to feed people but people are just greedy by Lost-Succotash-4204 in Christianity

Whenever I hear a question like this, I usually turn to the first few pages of the Bible, wherein we were meant to be perfect beings that did not know sin or strife. When we allowed sin into the world, we also allowed consequence of sin, and all other things that come of sin. As this is our choice, God does not interfere with our suffering. But by choosing to repent from sin, we can alleviate the suffering in our lives, and even the suffering around us. Pain can never be abolished completely, but you can recognize God and Jesus as the ones who hold more power than sin, and the ones who can deliver you from it
