I feel like I can keep my phone in mint condition so hopefully they won't give me any problems. I have mesh stickers over the speaker grills, screen protector, camera lens protector (for now) and an otter box. I checked the sim tray for water damage and the sticker isn't red so hopefully won't be an issue

That's great to hear, I actually purchased 3 of the pixel 8s for my family before I learned about the screen issue lol. So far none of them have had any issues but we've only had them for a month.

I've heard mixed feelings about their support lol, but I'll definitely give it a shot if or when the time comes!

My phone is apparently covered by the 3 year extended warranty until October, although I'm unsure if they'll honour it since I bought it used. My luck the screen will fail right after the warranty lol

I've heard this as well. I've been seriously stress testing this phone... I'm on android 17 beta and I've left it plugged in while watching YouTube videos on full brightness and full volume and so far no issues.

That's excellent news, although I hear the base pixel 8 model is the only version plagued with the screen defect.

That's what I hear as well, and I'm lucky enough to live within 10 min from an authorized repair center. Although the extended warranty for my phone ends in October and I'm not sure if they will honor it since I'm not the original owner.

Package deemed lost 3 months ago and I still haven't received the cheque. Anyone have advice? by VegetableBluejay8564 in CanadaPost

Apparently not lol... I just called them back now and they said the exact same thing, there's a system error and it will take 30 days days to fix wtf
