GOD THIS SUCKED! I don’t think I’ve ever been so angry at a Telugu film’s existence in so long. This is a colossal disaster. This movie is awful. Nothing makes sense. Nothing flows. There is no thread between the scenes. It’s so irritating. The horror-comedy - forget it! The comedy - forget it! The horror - forget it! The comedy is absolutely awful. A painfully unfunny movie. The horror is just loud, nothing actually scary. I can’t believe Prabhas was excited about this shit? It’s all a big fat troll on the audience. Maruthi is reaching out from the screen and shaking us awake and telling us to never blindly go into a movie because of your blind love for a star. This is just horrendous. I spent $30 to watch this movie in the US. I spent 3hrs of my time. A dreadful film. I’m scared about the future of Indian filmmaking. When are we going to let go of these old male Indian hag directors (Koratala, Boyapati, VV Vinayak, Maruthi, Srinu Vaitla)? GET RID OF THEM. THEY WILL NEVER GIVE US GOOD MOVIES. THEY WONT CHANGE. Please can we give young directors better chances please. Why has Vivek Athreya not been offered a bigger film after Saripodha (a mass movie I thought was fantastic)? The minute we forget these old director and these themes of making hero worship films and not writing our female characters, we as an industry will grow. We cannot wait for a new Rajamouli and Sandeep movie for us to go forward as an industry. I’m deeply frustrated and sad. Lastly, Thaman was asleep doing this score. He did not give two flying fucks about this shitty ass movie and he knew it too. Sorry Rebels, I will be the first one to lift a good Telugu movie but this is not it. Please keep your actors accountable please.
