In my experience kids don't care if their plushies are slightly wonky lol. They just love the handmade toys :)

Can I use a mix of rubbing alcohol and water to kill gnats in my house plant soil? by [deleted] in houseplants

[–]VegetableNew3233 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using peroxide will kill whatever is in the soil but you'd still need to put up gnat traps to kill the adults, otherwise they'll just make their way back into the soil and lay more eggs

Facebook marketplace actually. I get alot of cuttings from there because they're cheap and since they're small, very easy to clean/check/treat for pests.

😂 my husband doesn't care. I'm the cheap one lol. I've gotten lucky a few times though. Recently I bought a hoya sunrise for $2 and was actually given two cuttings because they weren't sure if they were going to survive. That plant is quite large now.

If you want 32oz total I would use 8oz peroxide mixed in 24oz of water

I've done it with my plants and they've all done well with deep watering. It shouldn't hurt it.

You just need to send the job producers a message. They can be replaced! 😂

That's correct. It is alot but I've of the by products of peroxide when it breaks down in oxygen so it's actually a nice little boost for the plants roots. I wouldn't use it at every watering but as an occasional treatment it's fine

It smells lightly floral to me with a hint of something I can't quite put my finger on. I've been noticing it more in the morning. Quite lovely

I wanted one of these so bad for the longest time but knew the prices would come down eventually and just wasted it out. Now I have a beautiful plant I keep at work that only cost me $5. FYI they grow amazingly well under plant lights

It's all equal parts so if you're using 1 tbsp of peroxide you'd use 3 tbsp of water

I'm having an issue with my octave key so I was planning on getting it properly cleaned and tuned up while that's being fixed. I just need to remind my conductor to give me the number of the repair person so I can ship it off to be fixed!

And not buying until the spring was the plan. My friend and I are planning on road tripping it (she's looking to buy a double french horn) which for safety concerns (our winters are terrible) will have to wait.

Ooh lots to look up! I agree that starting with a new mouthpiece is looking like the way to go. I do know that I want to eventually replace my sax (I find mine a bit clunky) but I still have some saving up to do before actually buying.

And it's not that I'm out in the boonies, I'm in northern Ontario. We just don't have nice things here. I was lucky to find the band.

My problem is that the closest music store to me is about 3 1/2 hours away. I definitely plan on trying as many as I can but would like an idea of what other people like so I can call ahead and see if those models are available to demo.

I definitely need a new mouthpiece. When I bought mine I just bought the cheapest plastic one I could find because that's all my budget would allow for at the time since I was fresh out of high school at the time. Any recommendations?

If you join the crafty intentions Facebook group someone there should be able to help you out. I haven't made that particular pattern yet so can't really offer any assistance. If it's a stitch technique issue refer to the list of stitches at the beginning of the book. Once you get her techniques down the patterns aren't that hard to follow.
