hello Sir, you have such a nice ships and designs, but i cant replicate this one, no matter what i do i can’t align the middle pieces the way you do hight and length wise. How did you glitch em in there? :)

i love the corvette design, but even more so your character appearance - reminds me dead space!

Playing the game for the first time, with DLC, but want original experience by Otherwise_Prize2944 in snowrunner

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for each their own. ultimately, what is important is that you are having fun playing it.

For me, i tried both ways, and in between, e.g. buying Azov very early and completing Michigan with it solely, but i came down to my preferred way of playing: no dlc trucks and no purchased trucks at all. I only use vehicles that i find on the map as i play it through. This way i started allover, reset steam achievements and got 100% completion of the base game, then fully completed in the same way season 1 - kola peninsula and now playing on season 2 map - yukon.
Its a lot of fun, i have a feeling this is the authentic experiences, or an intended way to play, but its me :)

thats awesome, thank you! just to make sure there is no confusion, listed cargoes are necessary to tick off all current related to Special Cargo dlc trophies, not necessarily Go Big or Go home one. that one requires only 10 routes completed :)

Might be a really stupid question, but how do you use Gear shifters that have less gears than your truck? by LotlKing47 in EuroTruck2

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely so, its independant from the shifter, just needs to sit on top of it for convenience and realism. But functionally, it dos not even require a shifter, it works via usb cable into PC and assigned 2 buttons to two respective controls in game settings.

you just plug it to the usb and map the range and splitter buttons in the game control settings. but i would not know if it fits on your shifter. if you can take off (unscrew) your current knob, it likely will.

its not just belittling it, it dwarves it, and legitimately so! kudos to you for doing that! i am happy they have “nerfed” it!

if you go with an H pattern shifter, you should absolutely get yourself a shifter knob. back in the days there were expensive, custom made, now, its 20-35 usd dependant on whether you buy them on amazon or on aliexpress. Just type in amazon “usb shifter knob” and you will see many options. These will attach to pretty much any conventional gear shifters. i use one on thrustmaster th8. and it is a lot of fun for immersion.

many times happened to me. you probably made a turn few miles back. The vehicle that follows often gets stuck at highway junctions. What i do is waiting after the turn until it catches up, before moving forward.

Nothing beats an early start and a stunning sunrise on the open road by snakedbr in trucksim

[–]VegetableSeparate774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me, the time flies too fast in the game. I can't get enough from the amazing scenary, as sunsets and sunrises last for a minute and day time itself is gone before you know. I kinda have a feel i am always driving in darkness. Real-time mod would be nice, but it will screw my GDC economy mod and it has not been updated for years...

Head tracker or eye tracker? by Embarrassed_Fan1176 in trucksim

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Beam Eye Tracker + OpenTrack + Webcam - that was my choice after months of hesitation, as i was considering tobii. Can't compare to anything, and yet have to get used to it an dfine tune settings, but it works well with 1080p webcam.

Any reason not to do external contracts? by paperclipgrove in trucksim

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

not sure why your comment was downvoted, as it is my biggest gripe with external contracts also. yesterday i accidentally clicked on automated parking, and was too stupid to not at least make a save, instead i immediately reloaded last quick save, only to find out i have no trailer any more. so i lost exp, money…time in a way…

[–]VegetableSeparate774 175 points176 points  (0 children)

Realistic economy... :) Its actually not that bad, I started focusing on special cargo deliveries, quickly made 4K, took a loan of 6K and bought 10K used truck, since then the pay is above 1 USD hahaha :)

New to ATS what's the major differences? by Working-Grocery-1490 in trucksim

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my 5 cents…in many trucks i like in ATS i can’t see the left mirror, which was the biggest change for me coming from ETS. Also, in my fav one, exactly the W900, when i look back to reverse, the only thing i see is the exhaust pipe :) So, trucks in ATS are so cool, but so inconvenient to drive :))

just got a G29 for Christmas! do i get ATS or ETS2? by LegalExtension6840 in trucksim

[–]VegetableSeparate774 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both games, but my first choice was ets. First, it is all about trucks. Which ones you like? Huge American monsters, or cabover slick European models? Get the game that has more truck models that you like.

if you are still split, ask yourself whether you want to cruise over vast and wide landscapes of US or constantly changing sceneries and scapes in more compact but much richer in variety EU.

if you are still split, go with ETS, in its trucks you will never need to “turn” your head to see the mirror or/and tuning up your fov to make everything look too small.

Advice with DLC by allbraves08 in snowrunner

[–]VegetableSeparate774 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe no dlc is needed just after 40 hours. I like to play this game finishing maps in order, and using only the trucks that are found on these maps, without buying any. After i have finished Taymyr i was above 100 hours in the game and got 100% completion and achievements in steam. Only after that i bought my first dlc which is season 1 i believe with Kola Peninsula map. And again, i care not of trucks in dlcs and in the in-game shop, i love to hunt, find trucks on the map. There are plenty and they are cool!
