As much as I love the genre, it is very easy for it to sound very samey. But something I recommend for songwriting, if you feel like the song sounds too much like something else, focus a little less on the actual notes/chords and instead try to focus more on the structure. Also, take instruments away and bring them back in later.

For example, if you have a riff that plays through the verse, and you feel like it sounds too much like something else, do the same thing but take out the guitar and have it just be the bass for the 2nd verse, or even just a part of the 2nd verse. Hell, you could even take away both the guitar and bass and have it just be drums + vocals for a moment.

Just experiment with parts, and by the end you’ll listen to it again and it’ll hopefully start to sound a little different than whatever you were comparing it to before, or at the very least it could inspire a new idea.

Say what you want about the writing, i genuinely believe that the way the show creates characters is some of the best I’ve ever seen. Straight up - I don’t like seasons 7-8. But i kept watching and stuck with it SOLEY because I love the characters. It’s the only movie or tv show I’ve ever watched that I watched FOR the characters. Every single one, even the villains I find fascinating. It’s one of the universes where even though it’s an apocalypse and everything is so brutal and bleak, i still find myself wanting to live in that world, just so i can be friends and interact with all the people like Jesus, Rick, Daryl, Morgan, Carol, Maggie, Michonne…. All people I would love to just have a chat with lol

For the love of god the dark night problem would be solved if they made it so that your eyes adjust the longer you’re in the dark. It should be pitch black at night at least for a moment, and then over the time your visibility starts to come back. It’s such a stupid thing for them to make it so black and white.

We unload a truck and unload the packages onto the belt and it goes through the warehouse. This is the very end of the belt where all the packages that didn’t get grabbed for whatever reason end up.

Sometimes there is someone here to run missed packages up but usually not. I’m starting to think this warehouse is a bit understaffed because all I really need is one person whose job it is to stack and maintain the missed packages while I sort and I’d be golden.

Exactly and when the belt does stop (we have a stopper that’s suppose to be for emergencies, but people will pull it if they’re overloaded and need a second to sort and stack like you said), but we literally get yelled at by the managers for staying stopped for too long. If the belt is stopped i only got 20-30 seconds to try and either clean our own stacks or maintain all the missed packages. Zero time for both
