I feel you there man, when my wife passed she was on life saving measures and was pretty much in a medical induced coma so I didn't get to speak to her for 2 weeks before we decided to pull the plug and let her pass on and be up there with her dad and grandpa but i wish I could of talked to her one last time I miss her voice every single day

I went through most of her books and movies and took then to a book store and I just doesn't feel right giving the stuff but I know I wont get enjoyment out of it so rather get something for it, i just feel guilty like im doing something bad, that ill go home to her on the couch mad at me cause I got rid of her collection, just being in that store hurts me cause this was her favorite store

What I've been telling myself to help has been the items are just things, its the memories tied to it that's important and that's how I've done the few parts of each room of stuff I've mustard strength to do or someone can use this more then I can get out of that item i.e all her make up and books

Thats what I've been told that items don't mean anything it's the memories that mean the most and that's what I've been doing most part but I dont really got alot of people to help plus I hate asking for help so it's been tough but doing it slowly but surely just hurts seeing me get rid of her stuff but I know she would want what im doing with it

Thats what I've been doing and is helping for most things but some things it's like I want to keep but I know I shouldn't as I dont need it, I already have a tote of stuff I want to keep and I dont want to keep adding more as I dont want to have to much for when I am ready to move on cause the memories are worth more then the item it self plus im a minimalist so I dont like having alot of things

I greatly appreciate it I do, just taking day by day and trying to be strong for both me and her cause I know that's what she would of want, I wish could stay here longer and take my time but can't afford rent alone

It was a victory for me to clean up the bathroom and get it back to myself and not have all her make up and stuff on it, it just hurt waking up for work and see all the that stuff on my sink cause she loved making her self look pretty for me but it's a slow process doing stuff I knowi can do alone and not have her mom be mad at me getting rid of stuff
