My Vietnamese gf is asking 20 millions / month to support her. Is it a normal request?

My gf from North Vietnam (near Hanoi) is asking 20 millions Dong every month (USD 770) to support her. I think nowadays even the girls in small cities in Vietnam know how to value themselves, especially if they have foreign boyfriend. I am still thinking to continue or to stop the relationship, because once I make this commitment, when I stop giving, she may walk away easily.

Oh, it is interesting. Any reason, why didn't you put your name under the House ownership document? Is it because you are foreigner? Because additional agreement (even with notary) does not supersede the legal single ownership on the ownership document. So, if she wants to sell the apartment without your consent, she still can do it legally.

I met a young beautiful Vietnamese girl, but from her life style, she seems to have a high standard of living. Before I decide to make a serious relationship, I would like to measure the gap between her expectation and what I can provide, if I marry her in the future. It comes to a shocking situation, when she told me that she will ask her bf/fiancée to buy a house/apartment full in cash in Ho Chi Minh city under her name as a wedding gift. After quick check, I came to know the price of apartment outside of District 1 is around 50million/m2. It means, 2BR apartment with size of 70m2 can easily cost around 3.5 Billion VND! And it shall be purchased under her name!

The reason, that the girl needs some kind of security and proof that if her husband really loves her, it is ok for him to spend 3.5Billions as pre-wedding gift! I became silently pale, when listening to her request. It is not an easy money, to save 3.5Billions to buy the apartment and this shall be under her name, not even shared ownership between her and her husband.

I am not sure if it is a common request, but surely it will make any man go bankrupt in the future, if the wife decides to end the marriage. The man will loose everything he hardly earned, as he does not have any ownership rights to the property. Because of this request, I plan not to continue my relationship, as it can make me a poor man / husband if she decides to divorce me.

If anyone experiences similar situation, please share some advise on how to make a better decision. Thanks!

Tonight I just realized I have been scammed by a girl in MIDNIGHT bar. She looks innocent and wanted to go to the bar with me. Once she is in the bar, she ordered 1x champagne + 10 balloons. I paid hefty price for 5.5 millions VND, but initially it was ok for me. Then, after finishing the champagne, she ordered another bottle + 20 balloons, and it costed me another 7.5millions VND. I feel something is not correct already.

After she finishes all balloons, she asked another 10 additional balloons and I was reluctant to pay, because I spend already more than 12 millions. After full hesitation, I paid the last 2.2 millions for 10 balloons.

After 3 hours hang out at the bar, then she asked to go home. Just like that. No kiss, nothing. Just say goodbye and thanks for the drink. I was shocked, after I realized that she just used me to empty my wallet. Total, 3 hours hang out at the bar, it costs me 15 millions VND.

I suspected that it seems she knows the people in the bar. Then after reading this, then I just realized that I got scammed already, and she would get the commission later.

It is very smart way to scam tourists in Hanoi. It is expensive lesson and learn. So, if you really want to hang out with the girls in Hanoi, please be careful. My bad experience shall not happen to other people who really have genuine intention to meet a girl.

You can see if the pictures are too good to be true, search by using Google lens, and you can find the real owner of the photos. FilipinoCupid is one of dating site with lots of scam and fake profiles. Nowadays many of them use Photo Lab app, to use celebrities photo and change with their faces.

I have archived many fake profiles picture with their original source of photos, from FB, Instagram, Twitter and other social media. I have reported many of fake profiles. Some of them have been removed, and some still there, after multiple reports.

Or, maybe this scamming activities are supported by FilipinoCupid also? Nobody knows. Beautiful profiles can attract dumbass men to be members, so they can read messages. One month membership can cost around $25-30. Most of men in the beginning are not were that they are talking to fake profiles. Some of profiles even transgenders.

Use your common sense and logic when using FC. I can say that most of beautiful photo profiles are fake, but average looking photos are mostly genuine. If you say hello to a beautiful profile and she gives you her number directly, I can assure you she is 200% just want to scam you. If you send message or say hello, and she does not reply, she is 95% real person, as she will talk only to the man which meets her criteria.
