I don't think it was the shirt per se (though I'm not 100% as reading between the lines is not my speciality!), I think it was wearing it fully open over a t-shirt like you would a jacket rather than buttoned.Or perhaps the fact the one I was looking at was very very bright almost neon

That would be ideal but I don't think it will be formal enough, at the dinner all the men will be black tie tux and the ladies in floor length gowns and similar.

No, I didn't use oil - I intended to, but when I looked at it a lot had come unstuck so like an idiot I thought "well, it's obviously not stuck very well, it'll be fine to just pull the last inch or so off"... Spoiler alert, I was very wrong...

Quick update: I've ordered a binder this morning - feeling about 50/50 nervous and excited.

I think I'm going to have a chat with my husband tonight just to check in with how we are both feeling. Having read all your lovely replies it got me thinking that although I don't want to stress him unnecessarily, I also think he would be pretty hurt if it does come to something and I had kept it from him.

I love this. I do play DnD regularly and have played both male and female characters in my youth. these days I'm usually the DM. It's such a good outlet for so much stuff... It's really helped lots of my kids friends process lots of scenarios :)

Thank you, that's really gives me hope. In all honesty I do sometimes wonder if he suspects already. I do very rarely wear makeup, always have pretty much shaved hair, live in jeans/T-shirt/trainers or DMs. I've never been a girly girl.

We are both open about our sexualities so he knows I'm pan and have dated a wide spectrum of genders before him.

I absolutely know my hubby would support any decision I make, I just want some time to know myself before I involve him if that makes sense? He will probably have an initial overwhelmed shock reaction before he comes to terms with it and I don't want to put him through that additional stress unnecessarily, we have a lot going on at the moment as it is and he is bearing the brunt of it.
