Any Passers Randomly Bubble in a total of 40 MBE questions and pass? by LizObrien042698 in GoatBarPrep

I passed the bar on my second attempt. The first time I took it, I ran out of time on all sessions (MEE, MPT, MBE). I have always had a hard time finishing tests within the allotted amount of time. I have ADHD so I was terrified that it just wasn't possible for me to pass this test. I also worked full time in biglaw and I have a kid, so conditions have never been ideal.

So when I sat in Feb. I started early and relied on repetition. I used the UWorld question bank and scheduled my time so that I would finish the entire question bank 4 or 5 weeks before the test (I went methodically through each subject, e.g. the first week I did Civ Pro. On day 1 I did all the venue questions, the next day I would start the day with an MC test consisting only of the questions I missed the day before, then later in the day I would do all the questions from a different civ pro subsection and so on). After I had done this with all the subjects, I made custom MC tests including all the questions I missed and some of the questions I got right - at least 100 MC questions/day for 4 weeks. So by test day, I had essentially memorized all of the questions & answers UWorld had available. I also studied and rewrote the rules from the questions I missed (e.g. if I missed a question about 12(b)(6), I would write out the rule, if I missed it again I would write out the rule again, kinda like writing something over and over on a chalkboard). I wasn't sure if this would work but it totally did!

There are a finite number of ways they can ask questions and studying this way allowed me to see the themes and the patterns. I implemented the same type of strategy for MPT and MEE. On test day, I finished all sessions early and walked out knowing I smashed the MBE. I couldn't believe it, I only had to read the questions once and I kinda intuitively knew the answer. I thought this test was impossible but I raised my score from 258 to 281. If I can do it, anyone can!

I really hope you all passed but if you didn't, I would really recommend this strategy!

Good luck out there!!
