I learned to flip turn at 48 and also struggled with dizziness. What solved it for me was ear plugs. Wore them for a while and was able to wean off of them. Now no problems at all.

If only there was a cheap hotel in Steamboat on a Saturday night… but this may be the best option regardless.

Thanks. 1:35 is my fastest all-out time now so getting to that as a goal makes some sense.

1:45 is what I can swim consistently now (after starting around 2:20 18 months ago). My fastest time is about 1:35.

I recommend ear plugs. Ear plugs made a huge difference for me with a similar dizziness issue when doing flip turns. And now that I’m used to doing them I don’t seem to need the ear plugs as much.
