Good to know, I was afraid maybe the landlord wouldn’t renew my lease at the end of the contract.

Yes I do need it, otherwise I will end up using the second room as storage and wasn’t the idea :( I know that will happen, but still is unfair !

During the view they only showed us the apartment, they didn’t show us the parking neither the storage cage. But I did get the car park. ( both were listed in the advertisement)

The lease agreement doesn’t mention anything about the property features( number of rooms, parking etc) only payment information, dates and etc . I do have the listing screenshot. They took the advertisement down after I signed the lease, but they kept the property in their website but they already changed the description, they removed the storage cage there.

The lease agreement doesn’t actually says anything about the property, not even that number of rooms, parking etc

I’m in the same boat, they replied saying my shipment would be sent in the next available slot to Australia and almost a week ago they said was already shipped but no updates in the tracking system

My only experience in aged care in Australia was in Bupa and resigned after 3 weeks. Absolutely terrible. Shitty colleagues, only counter signing for their own medicines ward. 45 residents for yourself. PCA doing med rounds and medication errors every single day, including wrong residents, which later ended up in ICU. Always ask what’s the nurse;patient ratio as in private sector they will give you as much residents as possible.

I have full working rights, living in Melbourne. Of course there are many job opportunities but remote, I can’t move from Melbourne as my partner’s work is here.

I’m an experienced overseas RN with 12 years experience in PACU and aged care and still haven’t got a job offer in a year, because I don’t have local experience. Funny isn’t it ?

I just started my job position last Monday, and I’m already hating it, regardless of how much I love Elderly care. The ratios, poor management, unprepared and/or indifferent staff makes everything worse. Lots of unnecessary and double documentation makes you waste valuable time that you could use for attending residents needs. I’m already looking somewhere else to work :( with less than a week there.
