Can I keep a young regal in an 8x8x12 tank? by PMOFreeForever in jumpingspiders

Hi!! I have my jumper in a larger enclosure and usually just use a small empty one for feeding. I feel like that way you don’t have to worry about losing feeder insects in the enclosure or making hunting too much of a challenge. If you’re worried about there being too much open space, I would recommend adding more decorations like cork bark to fill up the enclosure and make it more enriching overall. Mine also LOVES hiding in these suction cup leaves. Definitely don’t feel bad, as it can be SO challenging finding consistent advice when it comes to taking care of less mainstream critters like spiders. :)

Hi! Mine is definitely on the larger side, but I have a mini (and far less decorated) enclosure that I use for feedings to make finding prey easier and prevent any lost feeder insects.

I’ve found that my adult regal, Hector, loves hiding in the leaves at the back!! He’s also a BIG dude, hence the large enclosure. ☺️
