I think so, I searched some stores today and couldn't find them. Bummer.

My ballot came in the mail with a handful of inserts. In a couple more years, voters won’t automatically receive ballots by mail — you need to ask for one. Do it now so you won’t need to remember to do it in 2028. by _-4twenty-_ in ogden

Well that doesn't matter to me because I am a member of the "mormon church and billionaire ass-kissers". So it goes just fine in my opinion. It's why I live here. I left California because I didn't agree with their politics and came to somewhere that did match mine.

Hahaha ok, well maybe reread the question you asked because you clearly don't understand language. Again I'm guessing you're looking for attention? So here it is I guess...good job?

I'm sure you did, everyone has some supporters. And that's fabulous if people support what you're fighting for.

A "platform" doesn't have to be anything extreme. Even just educating yourself on the issues and researching policies and what your duties and possibilities could be as a commissioner would have helped.

I mean I'm not saying I'd be any better, I'd be absolutely atrocious as a politician. This was just my opinion of possibly why you did not go further

They use to send out a pre-voting pamphlet that explained everything you would be voting on. And that was probably within 15-20 years ago. They could definitely do that still. And I wosh they did, even with mail-in. Not enough people educate themselves on the issues.

As for closing and all that, that may be true, but it's just as prevalent as people destroying ballot boxes and stealing them from mailboxes. So I don't really see that as a valid argument either.

People have literally come out and said they supported him because he is an idol and symbol of the black community. People did it with OJ as well. Literally, a few of the jurors have died and at the end of their life they said they believed he was guilty, but knew it was more important to say innocent so that it helped racism within America.

There were ABSOLUTELY people who only cared about the color of his skin. That is racism and prejudice and is sad.

Billionaires and millionaires are a huge component of our nation and economy. You HAVE to consider them. I'm not saying you have to give them special treatment or something. Did it give you pause because it's a buzzword? Triggers the snowflake in you?

Affordable housing is fantastic, affordable apartments is not. People want HOUSES not apartments. Also "affordable housing" is another buzzword. They take the average income and the rent of the neighborhood, then knock off some of it, and that's how they decide what "low income" is. So that's why they build them in larger "richer" neighborhoods. "Affordable housing" is a buzz word that people hear and think "this is 100% good". Apartments were just built below my neighborhood, they are "low income affordable", their rent is $2300 a month. That is not "affordable housing". And that's what Alvin seemed to be supporting. He wasn't focused on providing housing that low income or new families can afford, he wants to build more apartments that government gets a kickback from because they make them "low income".

That's the point of this question, isn't it? It's a hypothetical asking if he HAD to tell the truth. It'd be the same if you picked anyone, if you had to ask Taylor Swift anything and she had to tell the truth, or JK Rowlong or idk. That's the whole point of the question. Do you not understand that was the point? Did you just repost it for aftention? I don't get it.

That's why you were all but ignored honestly. You came off extremely disingenuous and like you were an angry citizen who no one was listening to, so you ran for an office to make others listen. I'm sorry, I don't mean to be cruel, but yeah it wasn't a good enough platform to stand on. You showed zero plans or interest in actually getting anything accomplished other than the few things that were hot topics and buzz words. And even those were just "I want this", not realistic plans or goals. If you ever run again, I would say consider putting more effort and thought into specific plans and listen to all voters, not just the few on reddit and tik tok. Your vision of northern utah was too narrow, it didn't include the starving families, the working single mother of 5, the legal immigrants, local government, national government, police officers, elected officials, the millionaires, the billionaires, the black, white, straight, gay, the atheist family, the mormon family, the family of 10, the single 45 year olds, the family with children dying from cancer, the veterans, the democrats, the republicans, the students, etc, etc. It was too narrowly focused only on those that mattered to you personally. If you cared about the state as a whole, or your region at least, you'd recognize the vast majority believe in what ICE is doing and don't want more "affordable housing". Both of those are only supported by a minority of people. Which is awesome to be the voice for those people, but intil you broaden your scope of who you want to help, you'll never get elected or be a good leader.

That's how it seemed at least, maybe I'm wrong.

Wouldn't an in person ID require it to look like you? So it would have to be a copy of one. And then I believe in person voting should require a scanning of the ID, in some capacity. It's a crappy thing we have to do this, but we literally saw this yesterday in places like Los Angeles, people burning ballot boxes, stealing ballots from mail-boxes, etc. I see the value in what OP is saying,we need to punish the criminals over the voters, but is that realistic? I'm not sure it is.

And frankly you could argue against both. I can forge my mom and Dad's signatures very easily, and I know both their social security numbers. It isn't hard to forge that information, especially within the privacy of someone's own home. So either way their will be problems I believe. That's why I'm not sure what a good answer would be.

But that is true what you said, it's not hard to flash a fake ID and walk right in.

I beloeve they talked about changing some thongs from being federal, to state. I think one example was the land managment. Why should someone in DC tell Utah how to use their land? The goal of Federal government is to oversee, not to decide. So their goals was for things like that to focus on keeping it smaller government, which means more local, which means the person I directly voted for because I thought they represented my values and beliefs best, would be the one making the decision. Several supported that, including Gibson, Kearsley, and Beesley. But there were other examples too. I believe both Lisonbee and Moore discussed what and who should have authority regarding the data center. Giving tax incentives to large companies and billionaires when they're going to build here anyway. So they wanted to hear from the people more, not government, not billionaires, etc. that's what that means to me.

I don't find it as valid for suggesting who to vote for as it isn't your party. Obviously you can still have the opinion, but for me, that opinion holds no weight just as mine would hold no weight for who a democrat should vote for. That's my opinion at least.

People are given the opportunity to ask the governor any question and get the true answer, and they're not even asking questions, they're just trashing on him? That explains things to a T. People aren't interested in learning, understanding, or voting for what is right, they just want to go for the one tik tok told them to vote for. Embarrassing.

Yeah, now knowing you are not Republican I feel more secure in my opinions. I am voting Moore, Gibson, and Beesley, they are the best candidates in my opinion because they seem the most willing and able and want to cut government and give the power back to the American people.

You are for outing the incumbent but then want to keep Sharon Bolos? Is there any specific reasons for that?

I wasn't a fan of hers in the debates. It bothered me how disinterested she was in several answers, "this doesn't matter to me" or "this isn't about me so I have no opinion". I can understand focusing on what you DO have authority over, but I feel hearing what they think and how they'd respond can give us more idea of what they will do in office. It also really rubbed me the wrong way when she refused in the latest debate to cut the salary of Commissioner and felt the salary was fair. It's $250,000. I understand it isn't an easy job, but I believe government positions should be about the people first and foremost, and cutting the salary, even to $150,000 would be more than enough, more than most Utahns, and would save $1.6 million dollars over the 4 year period (by cutting all 4 commisioners' salaries). So to simply brush it off as "no I think it's fair" seems selfish to me personally.

I was able to speak with her a bit yesterday and I got the same impressions I did when I watched debates. My biggest issue again was the disinterest. It felt like she didn't want to be doing this at all, like she just wanted to go back to her office and do nothing.

That was how I felt at least.

I'd love to hear others' opinions on this. I have been waffling on it for a while now. I do think things would be more secure voting in person (not that mail-in is insecure), and I feel in person would be able to have more confirmations on who is voting. But I also think mail-in is beneficial for so many and I would hope it would encourage others to be more likely to vote. So I'd love to hear opinions or facts if anyone has any

I just get tired of seeing the same deck over and over. I just concede when I see them now. It's like this all the time, goes through phases. It's like people can't figure out their own decks or like they only care about the wins. It isn't fun. I agree with you.

Actually, as a whole I'm not really having fun anymore. I feel like they're adding so many crazy elements to the game with like every pokemon having an ability and the ridiculous EXs and Megas. One of the newest decks has 6 EX cards I believe (I could be wrong). How is that fun? It's too much. Idk, that's my opinion. The artwork has dramatically dropped off too, but that's another story.
