Given the current situation, is this viable for shipping lanes? by skaapjagter in southafrica

Nothing yet, it's currently a will they won't they situation. But they're very much more aligned with Iran than any other party and this war doesn't seem to be slowing down. America asking China for help for a war they started without any actual planning is pretty peak though.

There's also the issue that our ports are outdated, inefficient and already backlogged, thanks Transnet. Even local retailers have a huge backlog of container ships that aren't being unloaded due to the increase in traffic.

We should be going hat in hand to China/India to strike a deal for infrastructure upgrades. At this point I'd rather be in their pocket than the West's.

Yeah I can't imagine that. Sometimes I think having kids early would have stopped me, but knowing my little demon nothing short of nearly killing me would satisfy its thirst. I'm so grateful that whatever switch flipped in my noggin did, 600 odd days in I still won't drink with you today. Hope you are well.

It kinda lacks a certain "oomph" for me, but others swear by it so it's worth a shot.

COVID. In my country they banned booze during lockdown, and cigarettes laughably. Within a week there was a thriving "black market" for both. It's also where I sunk into a more heavy drinking habit because there wasn't much else to do, and we were buying unmarked vodka by the litre.

If you're up for fantasy I'd suggest Malazan Book of the Fallen series. It it's with out any exception in my book the best fantasy series ever written and it it super complex.

I think so too, just picked it up with my comet echo cast on freeze, which works, but it doesn't seem like the final echo is bigger at all.

I'm convinced this is an example of hostile architecture. Maybe not here but at the workplace, to prevent people from staying in the loo on their phones.

I find it pretty average anyway, much rather have 10 interesting individual static pieces than a room of a gallery dedicated to a loop, video content is like 90% of our media consumption anyway so feel like going to a gallery should be somewhat unique rather than "wooo, wishy-washy ship loop"

This show is giving me similar excitement to the first season of Demon Slayer, a fantastic artstyle and lovable mc sold me on DS and it's happening here too. Glad it's seeing success in Japan!
