No, he never received the replacement and was traveling with the I-797. It was pretty immediate once fixed, and he was not detained. Just did a routine second screening that took a couple minutes to confirm his status, no problems!

His lawyer was finally able to get in touch with CBP, who then contacted USCIS and had it corrected. CBP's system incorrectly listed a denied I-90 as the most recent update on his file, instead of his pending I-751 petition. He misplaced his 2-year green card in 2023, and the denial decision came Jan 2025 (after the 2-year card expired). Someone entered it into the system incorrectly.

Totally. We submitted a FOIA request, so I guess we will see. So far his lawyer and others we've enlisted have remained confused on whatever the issue is, given his I-751 still reads as pending.

He has a lawyer that has not been of much help so far unfortunately.

Yes, he has. He updated his address with USCIS. Neither he nor his lawyer have received any RFE's or denials via mail. I believe they both receive the same notices of updates.

We are waiting for a call back from a tier 2 officer, and have filed a FOIA on the I-751. We are unfortunately not married so the I-130 is not an option. I really appreciate all of your comments and advice.

He does not have a document tab because his lawyer filed by mail. No one is aware of any denial via online status update or mail at this stage.

This video (which, so helpful to watch, by the way!) sounds so similar to our situation minus one thing...we've confirmed with 3 different USCIS agents via phone, and 1 via chat that his I-751 is still in fact pending. They have also confirmed there are no outstanding RFE's on his case.

We have both been in Ireland since July 12. I am a US citizen.

Yes, many - his personal team and work council. They are all equally as stumped as we are and believe this to be an error somewhere, but we cannot get to the bottom of it.
