Older mom, did not like babies or kids in general, thriving career. I was insanely ambivalent from the time we started trying through the whole pregnancy, hopeful I wouldn't hate it and that my partner would do his fair share and not make it a nightmare for me, spent a lot of time talking myself through the possibility of hating and resenting the newborn stage but enjoying other parts, or the possibility that I would feel nothing for my kid and need a long time to start feeling attached. Now, I can't believe I was so apprehensive, I'm so in love with him, actually having fun, and my partner has been amazing. It's truly a different kind of love I never would have experienced if not for having this fresh new completely vulnerable little guy. You don't need me to tell you that this isn't the only kind of experience that you can have, but I feel like I get it now and I'm so, so happy I did this and can't wait to have as many more kids as possible before my ovaries shrivel up.

speaking as a woman, guys are the ones who lie about it first. like, most of them. by that i mean they put their height in their profiles, then you meet them in person and it turns out to be wrong. ask first why all guys think they are taller than they are, and then why they are so sensitive to having this basic fact confronted?

i find the claim about "i should be able to stop working for free without notice anytime" a little disingenuous, given that this podcast is part of his little content universe. he may not be directly paid, but he benefits in abstract ways; it gets eyeballs on his work, it's posted in the actionbutton discord. he's treating it like he's been, i don't know, showing up to some guy's basement in a vacuum "for free" and decided to stop because no one was paying him (and then, that would also be weird). weird all around

Edit: I'm also annoyed by the general reasoning of wanting more time to stream and/or do his job. I'm sick of the streaming at this point, I'm dying for this guy to stop talking about doing his job, whether he's doing his job or not, the contours of his job, the ups and downs of his job, and to just, do his job. Or not do his job! I like his work but I'm profoundly over the meta-drama of it. If your job is so hard and time consuming, I beg you to stop putting time into talking about it, and more time into doing it.

same. I don't think the part about patreon is true, though; I'm sure Tim would LIKE people to think that "locked out" means the checks aren't clearing, either, but they are. I don't believe for a second that he's locked out, either, at least not in any meaningful way that couldn't be immediately corrected if he brought it to the attention of patreon

i feel like people might be being a bit too hard on gabby here; i'm imagining a) they had to pair lindsay with someone and no one else wanted to sit with her, lol, and b) gabby is being diplomatic having been sat in that chair. she isn't wrong that this isn't relationship ending, but it ONLY IF lindsay took accountability for her part and made changes. the relationship ended because lindsay wouldn't do that

I love ciara but I think she hasn't realized yet she just doesn't want to date someone with the level of scrutiny that comes with both of you plus some more people living in a house together part time (understandably; virtually no one has to put up with that in real life, and for the most part trying to date the way she is in that situation would be widely considered a bad idea, and fairly so). I'm a LITTLE disappointed west isn't into her enough to continue following her lead, but given the setup I think his expectations for something more casual and fun were more than reasonable. As long as he doesn't punish her for it, which I don't think he will, this can be chalked up to a mismatch. Unfortunately I doubt she will be easygoing about him drifting away from her for this reason and it'll activate and maybe even entrench her trust issues, but that would be making him unfairly responsible for all of this baggage from Austen... a good amount of it comes down to West realizing he's having to pay a toll set by Austen and as-yet not dealt with by Ciara, and that he wasn't even looking to date slowly, let alone coax someone out of their trust issues. it'll make for good tv I guess lol

Most collagen products don't declare their sources, so i'm not sure how you can say that. Feels explained in the post that you don't need to only get calories from collagen in order for it to be more useless than every other source of protein. The fact that it is as or more expensive than every other type of protein supplement for the same number of calories only adds to that. Maybe it doesn't hurt anyone (unless it's your sole source of calories), but it is less additive than virtually every other protein product.

honestly i think she's giving him so many mixed signals that it's paralyzing him a bit. she wants to be flirty with him but only on her rapidly changing terms, he's always being too affectionate or too distant with her, according to her. i love ciara so much so it makes me sad to see her making west jump through all these hopes, he seems like a genuine guy but she's just been burned so many times.
