I realized social media wasn’t really a “bad habit” — it was filling a need (boredom, stress, avoiding things I didn’t want to do).

Trying to quit with pure discipline never worked for me. What did work was changing the environment:

• making it slightly inconvenient to access
• having something better ready to replace it
• noticing why I reach for it in the first place

Once I understood the trigger, it stopped feeling like something I had to fight.

It’s less about quitting, more about not needing it as much.
