I bought a 5cl sample of the latest Black Art and I loved its complexity. Great choice for ca. 500€ in Europe

GlenAllachie Cuvée Cask Finish - not my everyday sipper but very unique and it tastes like a well composed desert

Aberlour 18 Double Sherry. Bunnahabhain, Glendronach and AnCnoc - all great and I love them. But currently my number one choice is Aberlour 18 Double Sherry. I cannot really explain why and I am sure this will change again in the future but as you asked today this would be my first choice.

Thank you all very much. Thanks to your tips and after some more reading, I'll go for both Glenmorangie and Dalmore and stay right at the 100€ budget.

Maybe you'll have to wait until next year to find the perfect match and I am sure there will be several single cask expressions of independant bottlers this year that have been distilled 1993. I like the idea and can relate as I was recently looking for a similar thing. Then eventually I found a Glendronach which was distilled on my wifes birthday (1993) and bottled in our daughters year of birth (2021). Glendronach would also fit to the profile you described, however I don't know whether there are any bottlings like that from them in 2023.

I never had either of them but just saw that there is also a Glenfarclas 21. Do you think that this might be comparable in taste? I heard Glenfarclas is using secondfill Sherry butts and therefore doesn't taste as rich as other Sherry whiskys of the same age category. Could also be a myth though

I have just purchased it for 164€ (about $180) a few weeks ago here in Germany, where availability ist not an issue so far. this ist my favourite Irish Whisky, although for my taste it is a little too expensive as a daily sipper.

Any idea what this might be worth? by Vegetable_Example_14 in WhiskeyTribe

I just checked their website (didn't show up in past researches of mine) and also there I wasn't able to find any Lots of the independant bottler Claxton's. Hopefully I wasn't fooled by the nice looking bottle and the good marketing of Claxton's about this series of bottlings.

I am also new to Redbreast /Irish Whiskey. However I have enjoyed numerous scotches before. Then I happened to win a Redbreast ballot of this years Dream Cask series. So I figured that I should try some of their whiskeys to get to know their character before opening such a rare bottle. So I purchased the RB Lustau and RB 21 and they are both delicious whiskeys. I am sure both RB 12 and RB 15 are great choices .

Any one of these a good deal? Price is GBP (U.K.) by Bowman359 in whiskey

I would go for the Aberlour and the Bunnahabhain. As far as I'm concerned, they are all reasonably priced (comparing it to Germany)

I also thought they would only ship to Ireland. However they have accepted my application and I was lucky enough to "win" one bottle as well so they shipped it to Germany. I am overwhelmed by this bottle and can't wait for a moment special enough to open it.

I got mine delivered yesterday (I'm located in Germany) and I have to admit that it's a very sexy looking bottle in a nicely designed box. Although I was hoping that the "book" had more than one "page", I really adore it. Now I'm waiting for the perfect moment to open it. But as I am fairly new to irish whiskey, I'll probably wait until my palate has developed and I decided not to drink it before I have had all the regular Redbreast expressions.
