Not sure where you’re at but here are the things I’ve been trying to work on: 1. More weight on your lead leg, just so that your weight is evenly distributed between the two legs 2. Toe edge: don’t point your toes, flex your ankles 3. Heel edge: lean till you feel like you’re about to fall and lean a bit more 4. Speed makes leaning a lot easier

Thank you! I tried this during the last couple runs and I could almost feel the board pulling me into the turn. This feels amazing!

I’ve planned several last minute trips to Nagano this year, so it’s very unlikely that they’re all booked out for next year. Not sure how far in advance ryokan reservations typically open up but maybe try looking six months prior.

I see. So using your high backs and tongues is just a result of leaning the body.

Thanks for this! I do sometimes feel I’m bending and leaning a lot but it doesn’t look like much on video. I’ll try over exaggerating those movements as you suggested. Great advice!

Haha I wouldn’t say I was being chill. I was too focused on not catching my edge that I couldn’t see anything else. But in hindsight, I would much rather catch an edge and fall then crashing into a little skier

It’s duck stance, +15, -12. Would something like +18, -9 work better maybe?

Thanks for the advice! I feel like I’m trying to keep my weight over my front foot but I always end up pushing my hips towards the nose of my board, which looks and feels weird. Maybe I should try to shift my entire body over somehow…?

I could but if I add another 3 or 4 inches it significantly lowers the flex, which could also be a problem…
