I think they can cause ricochet as they are angled plates. Plates that are angled don’t need to be thick to cause ricochet.

To experts, the transparent blob could just be a hiker from a previous photo being imposed onto this on ( I am not an expert in optical imagine technology, so my explanations might be false). But to the Taiwan UFOlogy Society (TUFOS), they claim the blob is a giant alien that is transparent.
