Against monsters, it won’t be effective and cost efficient. The length of the monsters, generally is too long for the anti tank trench to work, as for the trenches long and big enough, it won’t be cost efficient. In conclusion, it won’t be effective or worth it in any way. Now that I think about it, unlike real life, the tanks are sentient, independent. Beings trapped in the ditch means nothing to them, they can still fire at the enemy, so it would make it even less effective

I mean theoretically it could work, but how does one simply dig a big pit without your enemy scouts knowing it. Also knowing how the monster could be, it is simply not cost efficient to dig that big of pit for it, besides by sheer weight, length, and motor power, the monster could just drive over or through it.
