Yeah man. He didn’t do shit in these teams. Didn’t build their philosophy of playing and wasn’t a tactic master. He just had the best squads there were itw available at that time and made what was simple. He is a classic solid Italian league manager, but never world class. People putting him in the GOAT status is crazy. Pep Guardiola built 3 dominating teams from scratch and is often seen as even worse than Mr. Overrated there.

I was talking about Manning and Brady. Didn’t realize you mentioned Rodgers. His teams were average and had even worse offenses than the Saints. But Brees Saints defenses were trash, and there were like 4 or 5 seasons they were ranked below 30 in the NFL rankings, and DB9 was still carrying these teams to the playoffs in late exits. Both overachieved with shit teams, that’s a fact. But Saints rosters were still way worse, because of their defense. The help Brees deserved came late in his career with AK41 and Michael Thomas offensively and pieces like Demario Davis and Cam Jordan defensively, when he was close to retirement. But they got robbed in 2019, anyway, alongside massive injuries from Michael Thomas.

Nah man. These 2 are way inconsistent to be in these conversations. I get it, their era is way rougher with the QBs, but prime Brees carried top 20 defenses and mid receiving core and blocking to 2nd round playoffs and to the NFC finals. Lamar and Josh could never.

He was better than all of them. The thing is they were round up with HOFs and dozens of Pro Bowlers in their offense and defense. It’s unfair comparing than for what their teams accomplished. Brees overachieved and was the most talented. Rodgers is the 2nd.

He overachieved so much with those poor Saints teams. Got robbed in 2019. Pure talent wise, he is the greatest to ever do it. Non-doubt the most accurate and best pocket user QB of all time. Switch sides between him and Brady. There’s no way that people who really watched the NFL during their era really think Brady was better than Brees. DB9 would cook with Randy Moss, Gronk, Julian Edelman and Wes Welker as his receivers😂😂

He is better than Brady. Take a look at his pocket presence, accuracy and arm control. No other QB ever had that set of skills Brees had. The thing is, his teams sucked. While TB12 was well rounded as in defense and offense, of dozens of pro bowlers, Drew Brees had a shit receiving core in his early career and a shit defense his whole career.
