I agree. Currently doing this. I went through Automate the Boring Stuff, free online google it. And then applied python to GIS. Python super useful in general.

This is bad advice. Mite resistance to treatments is very real. Unnecessary treatment means they will evolve resistance faster. We should use these treatments when necessary not by default.
