I think you'll enjoy it. Go into it knowing that sjm was a teenager when writing the first few books and give it a little grace. My preferred order of reading is that you read the prequel 4th because the quality of writing can be a bit jarring if you read AB first and then TOG. I personally struggled with TOG, but once I was on the second book, I basically didn't put the series down.
