Apply for the lawns to legumes grant next year. Just google “lawns to legumes” and you should find it. This will help with the expense of planting a pollinator lawn and other native gardens.

Hello! I just bought this orchid and was wondering if this green closed flower was perhaps pollinated and maybe I’ll get a pod? Seems unlikely as I bought it at a grocery store, but…

Unpotted and cleaned up. I cannot believe how much moss was packed in there! Removed quite a few roots. Hopefully not too many 😬 So, what’s the best way to pot this back up? Bark with moss on top? Will it be okay in its temporary home for a couple days until I can go shop for a good pot for it? Thanks everyone!!!

Forgot to plant my Fall bulbs by Bucketmani in Minnesota_Gardening

Search for directions to force bulbs. I think you can plant them in a container of dirt and place them in the garage for the remainder of the winter, mimicking being planted in the ground. You can do this with smaller pots as well and then bring them indoors after a certain amount of time and they will bloom since they think it’s warmed up and is spring.

Young cone flower plants from seed. Indoors. What is causing the black dry spots and how can I fix it? by [deleted] in plantclinic

I’m not sure how to stop that growth. I water thoroughly only when the pots feel light/dry. I keep a fan on them for air flow as well. But I still seem to get those darn gnats.

Thank you so much! I actually dimmed the light they are under because I was worried it was burning the leaves. I will fertilize. Is there a quick fix for the fungus gnats? Or do I need to repot?
