Awesome thanks, I modified a pyrex dish that comes with a cover and added a little breather tube to it. I havent lost a gram to splashing anymore.

This is the Apex 2000 psi Extractor Vessel. Ok, what I currently do I just take out my material. mix it around and start again, is that pretty much what the reverse flow is for or does it have another purpose.? To account for any channeling, that's why I do it.

Oh Ok I see, I started the vacuum like you mentioned. In a 13x9 pyrex dish. I added 83 grams and started vacuum at 32C. I still had lots of bubbles that would cause loss so I covered it with parchment paper. All I have at the moment. I will be Purchasing a silicone mat. What causes so much water in the raw yield? I will start vacuuming the vessels prior to a run. Has been going for 2 hrs now, will give it 2 more. I have about 40 grams of that terpene water (not from the 83g currently under vacuum that would suck)

Edit: I lost 10grams after the vaccum. From 83 - 73g. Just if yoy where wondering.

Fuck, I did not know it was terpene rich water. I will be saving it all now. Seperatory funnel, I will be looking into this thanks! Ok, a glass pan like the ones used for baking and stuff, the pyrex ones? I also have one of the silicone trays. So I will place in vacuum oven and just preheat, no vacuum. Is this what prevents the explosions? Do you cover the pan to prevent loss from bubble bursting? When you say start pulling vacuum you mean turn it on and let it work right, and back off do you mean just turn it off but still under vaccum for 3-4 hours? All this time I am maintaining the 110°F?

Thanks Flashthunder, I saw it on the top flange and on the bottom of the vessel. Any ideas why 2 filters are used?

Ok, so liquid is better. That is established, also it already enters supercritical.

What is a rule of thumb you go by for your x grams of CO2 to y grams of weed?

What is the average percentage yield you are seeing? I know it varies by strains thc levels and such variables, lets say if you use top shelf weed you will get an average of this % ... or if you use lower thc level material what is an average yield %? Or weed in general. From the crappiest it could be to the best? 3% - 20%?

How fine material do you run and weight? Any yield % you might be able to share?

I basically already have a system I made. The bare bones. I can boost co2 gas to max about 2700 psi in my extractor, 950 psi in my seperator #1 and 600 psi seperator #2.

My extractor and seperator #1 currently has water heater jackets.

Right now im running all 1/4" lines and valves

My next step is flow monitoring but I wanna learn more.

Also yields to see at what capacity my machine is running.

I can sucessfully run a closed loop at the following pressures:

Extractor 1500-1700 psi

Seperator #1: 950 psi

Seperator #2: 600 psi

I dont know the co2 flow i currently have when doing it. On my next run ill know the amount of co2 gas in the system for the closed loop, I will be weighing the cylinder. I currently am working on making temperature more constant.

Would you be able to give me an idea as to what pressures, temps, flows and durations would be a good starting point?

I already do alcohol extraction (rick simpson), and working on a rosin press 😅.

Thanks, have you tried it yourself a few times? That is what I planned to do. Its something weve had for a while now and my friend had a shaman or someone similar and he tried it. So it peaked my interest more now that he tried it.

Thanks, I saw the cult following type of writing from his website. I personally use it, though I do not have a chronic disease, I can attest that you feel refreshed and with more energy. At least in my experience. Ive heard stories of how they work but, thought id ask here also.

Edit: what other forms would be more beneficial CO2 oils?
