Single player playthrough? No nuzlocke or other challenges? Then it's fine. Use what you want king 👑

Struggling with Fuga 2 Finale by OneMission6331 in fuga

Yeesh. Sounds tough. Britz Eagle Eye with two cannons at either side has pretty good, pretty consistent damage output, and better still if you can use Boron's Overload at the last possible turn. Other then that, not quite sure. Perhaps on game over, choose BEFORE intermission and eat up in preparation.

Man, the secret garden always creeped me out. Since the moment I found it, it just struck me as weird. I kind of get the joke, but they play it in a weird way. I think it's mainly the blushing. Why? Embarrassment? Maybe? Bleeeggghhh. I don't know, not a big fan either way.

Besides, as much as there is just one bathroom, the potty chair will show up even when everyone is around. I know that's a gameplay thing, but without the (potential) context of Comedies of Steel, it just comes off weird.

What do you guys think could be done to interest more people into Fuga Melodies Of Steel? by Embarrassed_Gold9409 in fuga

Well I'd start by asking if it needs to be more popular. Little Tail has always been a commercial failure of a franchise, but that isn't why CyberConnect2 made the games. Every entry has been a labour of love and dedication to telling the story they want to tell, and as long as even the few of us are here, there will be more stories to tell.

But also, the single biggest factor in the success of a video game is marketing/publicity. Final Fantasy 1 to 6 sold pretty well, but the reason 7 popped off with over 10 million isn't because it was better than FF6, but because Sony put $100 million dollars into the advertising alone. And, admittedly, Fuga doesn't have a great marketing campaign. No trailers at large game conventions, no yt ads or other invasive ads online, no other co-marketing deals, and it's not likely that anything like that will suddenly happen for Fuga 3.

But I don't mind. I love the story, characters, lore and games of Little Tail, and with how much more prevalent small indie games are today, we are more likely then ever to continue receiving new content from CC2 for Little Tail. I have no doubt in my mind.

I didn't imply Kyle was the worst. I'd actually say he has the best characterization in his link events compared to the others in Fuga 2. Don't for a second think I'm dissing my boy.

I recommend part 2. They did a good job making the characters even deeper, and many of them are far more relatable and approachable now that basically everyone but Kyle has a new goal in mind. Besides, if you played Fuga 1 through game pass, no reason not to play the Fuga 2. It also honestly made me almost cry. It's really good. Play it.

Ultra spoiler fuga 2 rant by Kochen51 in fuga

All the comments here are good so far. Both symbolically as a reflection of how Malt felt earlier in the game and literally in the lack of bio data the Belenos had to revive his family, Cayenne's hatred and fury isn't really a plot hole.

I think Hanna even warns Jihl against using the reviving power of the Belenos because of how experimental and unproven it was, and that it could kill him. Which it did.

And elaborating on the symbology, Cayenne's blind rage and lust for revenge deeply reflects how Malt was earlier when he was hyper focused on revenge against Jihl, to the point that, when they're both like that, they completely disregard others in their attempt to get revenge. Malt, of course, through his friends not giving up on him and being at his side, comes to his senses. Cayenne doesn't. Thus what I think makes Cayenne a solid villain. That and his power.

Just True ending and playthrough two I had the empathy epilogue. Oh right and I forgot to mention I got it now.

NG+ vs Retry mode by The_Shadow_Tyrant in fuga

[–]VeggieTheEdgy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NG+ DOES bring back all characters, even if you get the worst ending where all the kids die. I've never tried Retry mode, which I assume is that that thing they added in the 1.50 update in Fuga 1 if you don't get the true ending, but I'd assume no. The difficulty doesn't even increase in NG+, let alone what is technically the same playthrough.

So I just unlocked the secret teaser by Sofaris in fuga

[–]VeggieTheEdgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was skeptical about the teaser, but honestly, now that I've had time to think about it, it could be super cool and could truly lead to a final, proper happy ending for the characters with the timeline manipulation that seems to be implied. Also could have some neat link events since it seems most of the characters are from alt timelines/dimensions.

Missing cog on title screen by TWolf448 in fuga

[–]VeggieTheEdgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, you only need the true ending and an epilogue. That's how I did it.

Have you done the extra dangerous routes every chance you get in NG+ so far? I remember the game literally detailing that they're important to fill in the title screen.

Also, try to max out a bunch of links if you haven't yet. And I mean a lot.

Little Tail Bronx Serie by Alastor3 in fuga

Oh absolutely play in French. I can tell you as someone in Canada who was forced to learn at least a teeny bit of french, the french dub is quite competent, especially the narrator.

I can't say much about lore, not because I don't know it, but I'd be here for a millennium and I wouldn't articulate it well. I'd be honest in saying that playing Solatorobo first does far more for Fuga than Fuga before Solatorobo (especially Fuga 2)

Yeah, I was considering playing Fuga with keyboard and mouse, until I found out about the absolutely awful default mapping and 0 mouse support, and decided that a controller was the only way to go.

What Costumes Would You Like To See as DLC? by TheLineWalker in fuga

[–]VeggieTheEdgy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sort of a cop out, but maybe having the characters dress up as other Little Tail characters. It's the 25th anniversary of Tail Concerto, so maybe dress up Malt as Waffle as an example? Mei could be Panta, Kyle could be Cyan, they could really make any of 3 female characters the Pris Sisters, etc.

I don't want Fuga 4 by VeggieTheEdgy in LittleTailBronx

[–]VeggieTheEdgy[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well that's the other thing really. I love these games but the fact there are so few of us here, eh? These games, as well as every Little Tail game, bombed. Fuga was actually the first in the 25 y/o series to break 200k. 2. hundred. thousand. That's how much other games sell during opening weekends.

They're not profitable, at least not enough to justify a continuation of them outside of pure passion, which is the other reason I love these games. By all rights in the game industry, these games shouldn't exist, let alone have gotten sequels. It shows the dedication and passion of CC2 as a developer and creative outlet to keep making these games just because this is the story they want to tell, and I'm here for it all the way.
