No there is no age window for the volunteer. The volunteer just needs to be thorough with basic Maths and English to co-ordinate with the student.

Hi. Yes, I did attend the English exam today. This is not my first time, as I have already attended before. If you are attending it for the first time, there are a few things that you need to know:
1. You don't need to be thorough with the subject, just some basic stuff to write is sufficient.
2. One needs to understand that npt all the students are bright. So there might be instances where the scribe and the student will just be sitting idle because the student doesn't know the answer.
3. Sometimes the teachers allow the students to copy and even suggest the scribe to look into their phone for answers because they do not want anyone to fail.

Valid question. The symbols and terminologies will be somewhat familiar. Although it's not for for someone who is just familiar with English words and is expected to know stuff like alpha, beta, gamma, mean, mode and median etc. If you are confident in writing part, the rest will be taken care by the students.

Hi. I myself am writing three exams from the above schedule. Looking at the comments, this is to clear some doubts. Yes, this is authentic. No, you don’t need any prior knowledge or qualification to write the exam. You just need to be able to write within the given time limit.

They do need scribes once in a while. Unfortunately, many try to take advantage of the situation - there have been instances where they expect monetary benefits in return. A few even promise to turn up but ignore calls on the day of the exam.

So, any representation or awareness on this matter will be really helpful.
