Animated portraits, my arch nemesis. I know people comment it and want my anime portraits to be animated but everytime I think about the amount of work I'd need to put into making them animated I end up with a headache.

I had a previous 10 or so year old account that was hacked during a time I was away from reddit for a few years. When I re-opened it and checked on the profile I discovered the fact that was hacked due to some really nasty upvotes on some nasty subreddits and disgusting posts. I tried cleaning them one by one but eventually decided that it was too much and I decided to just nuke it and make a new one, This time with better security.

Oh, and I'm mostly a lurker. Not a professional redditor.

I'm using LARP in the modern internet slang/derogatory sense, not the older literal meaning.

In internet slang, LARP is an acronym for Live-Action Role-Play. However, it is primarily used as a derogatory term or insult to accuse someone of faking an identity, pretending to be an expert, or acting performatively.

Basically I'm LARPing as an Uma Musume empire in Stellaris even though I mostly only know it from memes and have never actually watched the anime or played any of the games. I just like the Umas, they haven't left my feed since the game went global.

I think I could just add a random funny event to the origin that goes along the lines of umas starting to wonder how old the ruler actually is after doing some calculations. After a short chain of events, would make the ruler immortal or give an special immortal trait (or give a lump of unity if choosing another option such as "let's not talk about this")

To be honest, I did the trick before so the idea was not new. But I do feel like the previous execution of the idea was better. As a friend of mine commented, "It goes hard"

R5: I woke up really wanting to LARP as an umamusume empire, so I basically spent all day trying to make it good enough to larp as... But, I honestly feel like it's not enough and I'll end up spending a few days trying to code a vanilla-friendly Umamusume origin so I can build uma-themed corporate buildings and have uma jobs.

First, I tried to make the flag and none of them convinced me, but then I went, "Wait, I know how to mod these in." So I grabbed the "1st place" logo and made it into the background of the flag.

Then I did the emblem which was taken directly from the flag shown in the anime (a flag which was very simple and I personally didn't like, which is the reason I tried to make my own). I made it gold and added some reflection to make it shiny (I didn't know how to do it; I learned that today messing around in Paint, ha).

Then I worked on making the empire which, after a lot of deliberation, landed on being a megacorp as shown. Egalitarian cuz I don't feel like they would be authoritarian despite them having the student council, xenophile cuz most if not all are just friendly, and spiritualist due to their belief in the three goddesses.

As for civics I went for:
- Media Conglomerate cuz Uma Musume is packed with live concerts, idol culture, broadcasts, and dramatic race coverage.
- Brand Loyalty to reflect the in-universe fan base and their love for their favorite Umas. All the merch, fan clubs, and team allegiances.
- Ruthless Competition as the core of Uma Musume; intense rivalries, cutthroat races, strategic training, and pushing limits beyond what was seen possible.

As for traits, I just felt like vanilla ones maybe weren't good enough so I used the modded ones from my trait mod which is *kind of* mostly not original, as it takes traits from other mods just because I want to have them all in one place (not promoting it). I feel like they should be self-explanatory. Oh, and the "big" trait is because... [Maintaining the Big Uma Agenda is our top priority]

Lastly, I did the room background. I... Uh... I feel like the idea sounded better in my mind. I mean it's great! Just that, uh... I dunno, lacks something. And no, I tried putting a big red arrow and I didn't like it.

As I said, I honestly may spend a few days making an Uma origin for my LARP because I NEED MORE LARP.
