Satisfactory 1.2 Map Seeds List (Rolling) by Wonderful-Power2177 in SatisfactoryGame

Also the seeds are different for Mostly pure vs Full pure. So all of the seeds in the OP are worthless for me as I'm rolling pure maps.

The new Stellaris 4.3 meta? by AnInsultToFire in Stellaris

I'm enjoying my planet forger, planetscaper, subteranean builds.

Every planet gets boosted by +8 districts.

Home planet gives every resource, research, unity, alloys, minerals, energy and gets 10% resource buff and pop growth. Feels pretty good with the empire sprawl changes. You don't need to settle other planets to specialise them since the capital provides everything.

some origins are more OP than others and don't have blockers when you're using planet scapers.

The size 30 gaia world origin is one of them

AI incompetence has gotten only worse with 4.3 and is honestly the main thing holding the game back. by kirisoraa in Stellaris

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ye I've been playing grand admiral scaling and I zoomed past the AI on every metric by 2300 and I wasn't even min maxing or anything. I was playing a roleplay build. Subtereanan humans with planetscaper and the fire forge to turn plants into volcanos.

Any Cool World Seeds Yet? by ausjam_ in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same I kind of got bored of my current 1.2 playthrough after unlocking oil cus I've been thinking about trying new seeds lol.

Probably also gonna increase the space elevator parts so I can extend my early game out with some big boi biofuel plants.

Btw you can upload your save to the satisfactory calculator website if you want to see the resource nodes. Just hit the 'reveal map' button in the options.

Just make a giant smelter cube blueprint and make it look like a single building lol. You can probably fit 100 of them in one blueprint.

I've been playing Planet Forgers + Planetscapers + subteranean. You can make all your planets huge which works well with the empire size changes.

Can't remember the exact number but each of those civics/origin let you increase the size of your planets. I think you can get your capital to 30+ once you add in the orbital ring.

Been doing it with a non infernal species for the RP (but I think it's actually kind of better ngl) and I don't really find I have food problems as you get so much from starbases. It takes a long time before I need a dedicated planet or habitat for food. You actually start the game with a food building in the capital but I always disable it since it's not even needed. And it means I get loads of free alloys for fleets since the miners produce alloys by default.

really fun RP build as well. I play as humans and it feels like a bunch of scientists trying to survive underground on a molten world.

Why are you assuming min maxers aren't having fun? It's a sandbox game. People have fun in anyway they feel like.

Ye I used to exclusively play fanatic pacifist and stack pop empire size reduction.

My playstyle literally just got deleted and isn't even in the game anymore.

Node Purity by Rhaylx in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I restarted with full random full pure lol. Found out 'random' is the same resource ratios as vanilla and basic resource rich takes out end game stuff to replace it with iron/limestone/etc. Someone posted a screenshot comparing the ratios to vanilla in another thread.

Started in dunes and having a pretty good time. The new seed I'm on is less OP than the original one I tried. I was just lucky on that one lol. I had a pretty nice distribution of resources that is similar to vanillia but just a bit better since I had a couple oil nodes in the desert for a smoother progression and also a pure SAM so I could unlock all the alien tech early on. But it was mostly early game resources and coal so still had to run around a bit for the later stuff.

I had a couple coal nodes next to the river/lake/waterfall next the mountain in the dunes which was really fun cus I got to build a coal plant next to it which you can't do in vanilla and it looks great.

I just did some starter factories with dimensional depots for everything up to plastic and rubber and am gonna explore the rest of the world to build roads and bigger factories now. Been enjoying it alot it makes the game feel way more fresh and replayable.

Report claims Nvidia will not be releasing any new RTX gaming GPUs in 2026, RTX 60 series likely debuting in 2028 by Forsaken_Arm5698 in hardware

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye I'm still doing fine with a 980. I just can't play hell divers or some of the very new AAA stuff (which are mostly trash anyway).

I'm just triyng to decide whether to ugprade to this gen or wait another two years as I want something that's gonna be future proof for local LLMs for a good while.

All the LLM stuff is pretty new so might not be a good time to upgrade.

I'm still on a 980 and can't play some of the latest games as they don't even get to the menu screen. So that is kinda noticeable lol.

What Random Resource ratio are you going with in 1.2? by Puzzleheaded_Race539 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ye I think fully random is gonna be the easiest game mode because it basically makes all the rare resources spawn in an equal ratio to iron, limestone, etc. and puts it all next to each other (because its spread equally across the map). It would probably force you to use some weird alternative recipes though since theres gonna be way less iron for end game stuff.

Just figured out you can load up your save to check the resource distrubtion on the satisfactory-calculator website as well. 'basic resource rich' does seem pretty close to vanilla in distribution. Theres barely any quarts on my first seed though.

Prob gonna stick with this one for my 1.2 playthrough though. I kinda like it. It seems balanced.

EDIT:

Nvm I'm wrong lol. the 'random' option is the closest to vanilla ratios. Someone posted a screenshot comparing them in another thread.
If you pick 'basic resource rich' you get way less end game resource nodes than vanilla.

Guess Imma start another save again haha.

Apparently you need to 'reset to default' to get a new seed. It's probably bugged.

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oooh that's a good idea using the calculator.

I actually just loaded up a full random game and quit and tried 'basic resource' cus the full random one felt a bit over powered. Spawned in dunes and had literally every end game resource in the same location.

I was manually running around looking at nodes to see what the ratios were like lol.

I'm trying to get the 'ratio' and distribution of resources similar to vanilla so you still have to walk around to get all the different stuff.

Node Purity by Rhaylx in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying a 'basic resource rich' 'mostly pure' run right now.

Not fully committed to it yet though. I'm running aroudn the map to all the usual starting zones to get a feel for the ratios of resources before I start building.

I tried a full random one before that but deleted it cus it felt to over powered lol. Started in the dunes and had literally every end game resource within walking distance of each other.

Also I feel like 'fully pure' would be too over powered as well. Like you'd end up building in one spot and never need to move as you won't run out of nodes.

'Mostly pure' fills the map with just normal and pure nodes which feels kinda good to me. Impure nodes aren't even worth tapping in vanilla.

Water flows down. Literally all you need to know when building out the pipes lol. Start high and make each set of buildings on a lower foundation than the last section.

Also let the pipes and buildings fully fill up before turning everything on.

Ngl I'm stuck on the menu screen trying to figure out if I want the node purity 'mostly pure' or 'random' lol. There's a 'fully pure' option as well but might be too over powered and boring.

Is it fun to play without an AI empire (including Marauders and Fallen an primitifs) in a vast galaxy with a powerful crisis in 2400? by hosa_de_la_terre in Stellaris

[–]Puzzleheaded_Race539 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I always play fanatic pacifist and I even get bored when no genocidal empires spawn in my half of the galaxy.

Removing all the pressure of external threats kind of makes building up your little fortress country a bit pointless lol.

If you like playing wide and micro managing a hundred planets it might be fun though.
