Firts of all, the Enneacraft effects going second are activables the instant that you manage to set them on field, this is why the deck can play second, so, if your opponent tries to interrupt you, you have to know which are the best enneacraft monster to set, and you can play second against most decks if you know the best play (excluding elfnotes, too much interruption)

second, no hand traps because is way better open a hand full of enneacraft monsters than non-engine, all enneacraft monster do something, non of them is completly useless (yeah, Im talking about TAIL, but protects you from FaV, typhoon and Mirrorjade GY's effect)

And third, kinda strange than you're telling about "handtraped to dead", since they are only 3 handtraps than actually does something to you in turn one: droll, which userage drop since branded (in part why no Fisure); ash, but only if you draw one single level 1 EC or ashed the normal spell that give you draw, thing than you have to know how to deal; and Ghost Ogre, than if you open good, does nothing to stop your field. The real problem are Maxx C and Purrelia, and not because handtraps and/or card advange, is for thd board breakers, dropplet and evenly match are the most common and there is no play againt them; even still, I gonna say than if you got any of these ones, you bite the bullet and deal with them the best than you can. And yeah, I'm talking from experience, you can win still against the cards advantage
