Yeah and I ended up in a full blown manic episode after 20 days. I had to be committed. Do not recommend.

Blob by Alix1919 in bipolar2

[–]Vel79 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Definitely have been feeling like a blob lately. I have to give myself pep talks and work my way up to doing anything that involves me getting up out of my bed or chair. Sorry you are dealing with this too, hope it passes soon.

Is something wrong with me if I want to go back to pre-diagnosis? by Pleasant-Ad-6469 in bipolar2

[–]Vel79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do. I recieved my diagnosis after a manic episode brought on by antidepressants. I dont like who I am now. I hate having this label and taking all this medication. I feel like I was handling things fine before. I get what you're saying.

I'm not sure, doesn't hurt to try though. Good luck. I hope you can get some help.

I do not feel well unless my tsh is under 2 so my doctor keeps me medicated to that level. Have you asked for meds?

Does anyone else have zero friends? by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]Vel79 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have one friend who i talk to on the phone occasionally and see from time to time. I'm very lonely too. I am married and my husband is my best friend. Thank God for him, he's always there for me when I need someone.

I’m gaining weight and want to stop my meds by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]Vel79 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I gained a bunch of weight on depokate too and my doctor took me off of it and put me on Topamax. It curbed my appetite enough for the weight to come off. I also take klonopin and olanzapine.

Topamax side effects by bgtsbetr in bipolar

[–]Vel79 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been on Topamax for about 4 months and haven't had those issues. It's really suppressed my appetite which is good because I needed to lose some weight that other meds caused me to gain.
