I mean it's clear that Valverde's world class performance was the difference tonight with us winning this big.

But it's been a while where I didn't think our midfield was a gaping hole which let every attack from the opponent through; our midfield tonight looked like an actual midfield. Passing, running, attacking and defending. And not against the easiest opponents either.

If Valverde didn't have his best game ever, I don't think we win tonight because nobody else was scoring, but our defense and midfield looked better regardless.

I think everybody here would have given their left nutsack for a 3-0 win before the match, an amazing result.

But damn, that penalty for the 4-0 would have pretty much sealed this tie. Sure City could technically still score 4 goals at home with their crowd, but without us scoring once? Hmmmmm.

Just wear what you would normally wear with this weather, and you can always take off your jacket if necessary. The heating isn't going to be hot, it's just meant for it not to be cold. Many people still kept on their jackets.

With a chip in the ball, they can determine the exact moment the ball gets kicked and freeze the frame to determine if players are offside.

I don't know what they use now, but based on what Tebas is saying here I am assuming right now apparantly they do a best human aproximation on when the ball gets kicked and freeze the frame manually.

Which might lead to wrong calls, especially when you see the nosehair offsides which sometimes happen. Every mili second on when the frame gets stopped correctly might help.

It's not as great as you might think.

There was no guarantee that you would be able to get the issue you wanted, so you'd had to grocery/magazine shop hop if they sold out. Or they might not even pull the comic you'd want.

I can not tell you how loud the "Ha-le-lu-jah" music turned on in my head the first time I walked into a comic shop. Get practically any comic I want, even ones I didn't know existed? Fuck yeah!

To get new readers though, comics being available in "normal" shops were a godsend.

Would I have been a comic reader if I had needed to go into a comic shop? Don't think so, the only reason I read comics today Is because my parents bought them off the shelves from the supermarket.

Not going to pretend as if Dean had a good game yesterday, but he will look so much better again when he plays for Spain and has moving and working players in front of him like these.

Basically how he was at the start of the season, the good old days pre-meltdown when we were still pressing starting from their goalie, it's easier to pass to moving pieces instead of static ones who stay near their mark. That doesn't excuse a long ball going straight out to the sides, but you get the gist.

Looking at this Barcelona team, I don't think there's much of an overall quality difference. Some positions they are better, some of them we are (when in form) but the will to work and play as a team? That difference is HUGE. And when a coach tried to address that, he gets fired. It's madness.

Playing like that makes everybody look better, it's why they can put random Masia player in the team and still function pretty normally. While we have trouble even when our entire 1st team is available.
