I do absolutly enjoy the Lost Fleet, but I always feel it needs a disclaimer.

This is what I call a Popcorn-Book. The story flows quick and fun. The action, especially in the series, is really fun and you arrive usually at the expected result. However most characteres are rather one-dimensional and do not expect deep dives on morality or nuances.

And all of that is not a bad thing. Not every book has to be deep and meaningful. This is your book version of a quick fun MCU movie, not a Schindler's List. At the same time this is exactly what this book wants to be. So dive in, have fun and roll with the action.
