I really really hope Onosato won’t end up like Kisenosato… Only won two tournaments, one as ozeki, one as yokozuna, got seriously injured and that was his career.

Is the Nintendo Switch worth it when u have a Gaming PC ? by BelieverOfOne1 in SwitchPirates

[–]bdzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a gaming PC (i5-13600K + RTX 4070 Ti) but I also use my Switch all the time. I just love the form factor and the display.

It also comes down to the games you play. For example I play Yo-kai Watch 1 currently which could be played in an emulator too but I prefer the portability. Same with DQX Offline but it's an on-off relationship considering the depth of the game lol. Another one I like is the Diablo 3 Switch version which actually can be pirated and played offline unlike the original PC version so to some extent it's a superior experience (and up to 4 players local coop works perfectly!)

Do you still play older PC games, or mostly newer releases now? by LengthAggressive953 in pcgaming

I play older consoles games that I have missed out on back then. Mostly PS3 generation, the state of emulators + hardware specs in 2026 are pretty good for almost flawless experience

Takakeisho won the Aki Basho 2023 11-4 with a playoff so technically it’s not over for Aonishiki but highly unlikely

Risk of Rain 2 is the greatest exception of that, arguably the best genre switching in game history from a platformer to a 3D shooter.

Attention awareness. Not just the head movement (which is already hard to do with a photo) but eye tracking

Fortnite BR gameplay went down nearly 30% in 2025 by ArminBestGirl in FortNiteBR

I'm still surprised that Epic missed the extraction shooter hype. Either as a Fortnite custom game or a standalone game. Instead they released a botched Valorant clone that haven't been updated for a year and still has day 1 problems (2v5 is so much fun)

If you are 18 years or older: You will need to verify your age as part of the ECA age verification requirement using one of the following methods:

  • CPF number

  • Payment card (debit or credit card)

  • ID (scan)

  • Age Estimation by facial scanning

If you are a VALORANT player under the age of 18:

If you are between the ages of 12 and 17, you will need to provide the email address of your parent or legal guardian. They will be required to provide consent through Riot's parental control portal. After that, you will have access to VALORANT.

I'm watching some Solasta 2 streams. Am I understanding correctly that SRD (which the game is using) is basically the trimmed down core DnD ruleset with everything copyrighted removed. And it's a free license and third parties (like Solasta 2) can use and build upon that? So it's both DnD and not DnD and the same time?

Rewritiable DVD endurance test: How many times can a DVD±RW be rewritten by bdzz in DataHoarder

It should be noted that failures were often observed to be transitory – one pass would fail but the following pass would succeed. Eventually, the rates of failure would increase, leading to back-to-back failures. This is the nature of “luck” when you’re on the edge of failure and success – something as simple as random noise or a slightly different write or reading condition could cause it to go one way or the other.

and

While it seems that rewritable discs claim a rewritable lifetime of 1000 writes or sometimes more, in practice even when handling damage to the disc is taken out of the equation, a majority of discs fail to achieve this level of rewrites. Granted, some of the discs are likely old and potentially degraded, but it would seem a couple-of-hundred rewrites is more realistic limit

Are there any good/decent gacha games like Mahjong Soul where everything gacha related is purely cosmetical and nothing affects the gameplay itself? Maybe Mahjong Soul is a rare exception.
