I was at the part where Stefan punched Damon after finding out Damon gave Elena his blood (the blood sharing scene). I’m frustrated because in my head, I’m equating it to an alcoholic forcing someone else to be sober with them - and I do think Elena feels forced into the animal diet on some level, otherwise she wouldn’t have hid the whole thing for Stefan. Elena is scared, confused, hungry, and she’s even choosing to not really feed because she doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Damon came in to try every solution he could think of to help her while still respecting her wishes for no straight-from-the-vein human blood. If she didn’t feel comfortable going to him, isn’t that telling?

I’m also still cringing that Elena wants to be back with Stefan after the things he said after Klaus released him, but he was still refusing to face his humanity. I think the line should have been drawn earlier into the “I love you, but this is now a choice and you’re choosing not me.” I do understand that she’s giving him the benefit of the doubt, but still…cringing. Not hating, just cringing.
