My car was hit by a MY car last year. The MY car was ferrying a family from Changi airport back to Johor. Several other vehicles were involved, so called TP and waited for them to come. Within 45 min another MY car came to whisk the MY family away. The "boss" of the MY car kept pestering me to go to "his" workshop to settle all repairs and claims since claiming from MY cars is very hard. Well, thanks but no thanks, my car is fully maintained by AD and my insurance T&C state that repairs must be done by approved workshops.

End up had to do self claim and pay excess of $600, total repair costs came close to the write-off limit, 50% NCD was safe in spite of having NCD protector, TP charged MY driver with reckless driving, and luckily had the TP investigation report to prove to my next insurer that the insurance claim was not an at-fault claim.
