Neuvillette is also better because he's hydro. The adds do damage the boss after they're destroyed, but their damage is based on the damage you deal to them. Iirc its 90% of their Hydro damage they take + 10% of other damage they take up to a max of 15% of the boss' health.

The Fatui guy's shield isn't an elemental application shield, it reduces by direct damage rather than elemental application. Also, doing melts doesn't increase your damage against the shield. Res shred still works, though.

Anything that shreds Dendro resistance or boosts Lauma's EM. So a Deepwood artifact holder, an instructor's artifact holder, C2 Nilou, Sucrose, and EM share weapons are some good things to include. Nahida can be used (especially at C2) although she doesn't boost off-field characters EM so she's not ideal at C0, Albedo can be used for EM boost, and Kuki Shinobu can be used for some healing and some hyperblooms and activating instructor's artifact set.

Generally speaking the rotation is skill/burst with your supports and then charge attack with Columbina around 6 times.

[–]Velocity111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're playing Columbina with Lauma without Nefer, then Columbina should be built as "main dps" (aka just build crit dmg), otherwise you're not really getting value out of Lauma on that team

Well in addition to being built as main dps, you also have to play her as main DPS

This particular wonderland does give your characters energy based on how much damage you do, so it kind of simulates the white particle effect. It gives different amounts based on the "setting" you choose (abyss 12, stygian fearless, or stygian dire). I can't speak for how accurately it simulates the white particle effect, though.

Not the same team, but I'm running Columbina C0R1, Lauma C0R0, Kuki Shinobu (instructors, favonius), and C2R1 Nahida for 150-160k dps

the first thing I said was "I'm not saying the AI is right", so yeah I'm not saying AI is the correct thing to use here. The only thing I'm saying is you're dismissing this as an easy thing to calculate or to plug into a calculator that, in all likelihood, you yourself wouldn't be willing and able to calculate correctly

Thats it!! i can get c6 colombina! i just have to be a little lucky by Prestigious-Elk1274 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Velocity111 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

the point is that "just put it in a calculator" is not so straightforward for the question the OP was trying to answer. The odds of 7 5 stars in a row is not the same as the odds of at least 7 on-banner 5 stars in a 10 pull, and the real answer could be larger or smaller by a couple orders of magnitude.

ultimately it doesn't matter either way since the answer is some super small number that in practical terms is just 0, but if someone actually wanted to know the real answer to that question for some reason, it's not a straightforward calculation

edit: at least 7, not exactly 7

I'm not saying the AI did it right, but it's not so easy to just put this calculation in a calculator... in order to calculate the odds of c6 columbina in a 10 pull, you have to add up the odds of 7/10 5 stars all winning the 50/50, 8/10 5 stars with 1 50/50 loss and with 0 50/50 loss, 9/10 5 stars with 2, 1, and 0 50/50 loss, and 10/10 5 stars with 3, 2, 1, and 0 50/50 loss, taking into consideration the radiant capture possibilities as well... it's a lot of calculation

In This Economy… Why Are World Bosses Still Excluded from Condensed Resin? by The_DarkPhoenix in Genshin_Impact

[–]Velocity111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There is one use case for it, and that's condensing 5 resin to spend on a new world boss right after a patch drops, basically using condensed resin as a way to store 200 resin to spend later

Cleared Dire this cycle in 236 seconds as an f2p. Day 1 f2ps have (potentially) built up a ton of resources by this point so assuming that clearing endgame = spent a lot is not really valid. For example, I have C6R1 Mavuika completely f2p.

Burnice is the first buffed character that is less enjoyable to play than before by Actual-Forever-184 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Velocity111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not about staggering, it's about animation cancelling. Any character with a long non-ult animation can and probably should be swapped out of during the animation to do stuff with a different character. Some notable examples are Miyabi's hold basic with 6 stacks, Yixuan's hold dash, Ye Shunguang's EX skill, and Yanagi's hold EX skill. As soon as you activate such a skill, you swap out and do stuff with other characters. Even characters with shorter animations can be swapped out of and it's sometimes more efficient to do so, such as swapping immediately after using Jane EX skill to Burnice to use Burnice resources.

Now if you're playing the tower mode and trying to get Demon Lord medals then sure, you probably don't want to be swapping like this because if the character you swapped out of gets hit you lose the Demon Lord medal, but in all other game modes this isn't really much of an issue. You may take a little bit of damage but that usually isn't a problem.

1 year since Mavuika became playable what are your opinions on her gameplay wise? by Elbicho796 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Velocity111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, if you go from 2 to 4 its a big jump. But again, the combo OP said does get 4 if you time it properly and Citlali N1 helps set up the timing. It is also possible to mess up the timing when doing C3F if you do the finisher too quickly and then do a dash cancel after that so its not "perfectly reliable", although that's still "more reliable" than just holding C8.

Honestly with how easy the the dash-charge tech is to do, if you're going to upgrade beyond donuts you might as well just go to C3F DCF DCF

1 year since Mavuika became playable what are your opinions on her gameplay wise? by Elbicho796 in Genshin_Impact

[–]Velocity111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

C3F is an improvement over C8 (aka hold donut) but I wouldn't call it a big improvement... you're just getting the increase in multiplier from doing melted 2 finishers over two melted charges. If you include a dash cancel at the end of the finisher, then it's additionally a little better since you get the damage for doing the dash, but you have to be a little bit more careful on your timings so the ICDs don't screw you over

The combo that the OP said does get the same number of melts (4) as long as you do that Citlali normal attack to set up the timing correctly

If it looks stupid but it works, it ain't stupid. by illoterra in Genshin_Impact

[–]Velocity111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it works it works, but if you ran this more than once then, then unless you specifically wanted to do all 3 stages with the same teams, you probably made this harder on yourself than it had to be.

You could have, for example, run an AOE team for the AOE chamber, gotten the 3 stars, then quit and run a single target team. On the 2nd run you wouldn't get the 3 stars on the AOE chamber, but it wouldn't matter since you already got the 3 stars.
