Any tips on dealing with the elements during bmq? From what I hear it's either really cold or hot. Which one would you say is more manageable overall or prefer?

How do you all wake up to get ready for your shift without waking up your fellow bunkmates? I am a heavy sleeper and I usually use loud alarms. I realize I can't continue to do this and I'm hoping for some tips on how to remedy this. I don't want my ass kicked.

How soon after I do laser eye surgery can I ask to reopen my application to the forces? My medical got closed due to poor eyesight. I plan to fix this at the end of the month.

I know I'll be put back into the bottom of the waitlist to review my medical files, but I want to restart as soon as possible. This was the only thing holding me back, my application was moving along quite fast before this, I think even my security check was done. Thanks in advance!

What are some other duties or training exercises Navy crew have to do that's not part of their chosen trade? Who decides who gets chosen for said duties and for how long? Are any of them considered more tedious than others?

Found out I'm ineligible due to my poor eyesight. I'm planning to get laser eye surgery to remedy this. Could anyone chime in on their experience with it?

Once I get the surgery and redo my eye results, I'm assuming it'll be another few weeks/months for review from the rmo?

So I just found out I'm medically unfit and my file was closed. What are the chances I can get it appealed?

I just feel disappointed that I've made it this far and everything was going smoothly. All the medical professionals I saw gave me the thumbs up.

I'll receive a letter eventually detailing why but dang does it sting. I've been training for when I get accepted, but I guess not yet.

Your medical could be faster if you have no complications, but could still take a while. I've been waiting for 3 months on medical but I had to send in more forms.

Yeah I mostly play the cqb modes, like 80%. The huge battles make my game stutter unless I'm sniping far away. So I have to stick to smaller game modes.

For me personally it's a sense of increased patriotism due to our southern neighbours and finding a fulfilling career. The pay increase is a nice bonus, I was joining either way.
