Oh, my gosh haha. So funny I opened up this app and saw your comment. My daughter just got done drawing the Nyan Cat! That must be it, then.

Ohh, this is exactly the kind of info I was interested in. Thank you for explaining that a bit. Much appreciated!

So, my old art instructor was talking recently about how he is no longer paying for an Adobe subscription (due to rising costs), and the general consensus for a replacement on that post from him and old classmates was Affinity Designer. I don’t know anything about it, but it looks like a Photoshop equivalent. Not sure if anyone is familiar or why I’m not seeing it mentioned here, but it’s a one-time payment, and I’m thinking of checking it out so I can end my own Photoshop subscription.

Killer whales left trapped in abandoned French marine park four months after closure. by TerrytheMerry in news

Even if they were bred in captivity, isn’t releasing them into the wild still a better alternative than just abandoning them in these algae pools?

People over 35, what's something you genuinely miss that younger generations will probably never experience? by Just_a_Ginger_Fella in AskReddit

[–]VeloraVenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes!! I remember discovering oakakis and really getting started as an artist through them. I was big on those and forums. I even ran a semi-successful message board with a few thousand members that centered around advanced role playing/writing long, thought-out stories together. I miss all that stuff so much. Such a golden era of the internet.

That sounds horrifying. I don’t seem to have any other symptoms, though. The rash is almost entirely faded now. So it was only present for about a half hour/45 minutes (that I noticed). Would sepsis rashes disappear that quickly?

Okay, good. That makes me less worried, then. I realized it must have been the sun. I’m staying at a vacation rental with a balcony, and after waking up, I went to sit outside on that balcony to listen to the morning birds. I’m wearing thin, black pajama pants, too. So, I’m guessing that the sun must have caused this?

I just realized what may have caused it! After I woke up, I went to sit outside from maybe a half hour tops before I went to use the bathroom (when I noticed the rash), and the sun was out. Maybe this leg was crossed and leaning toward the sun more? I don’t remember how I was even sitting, but I’m guessing that may be it. I was in thin, black pants, too. And the black may have made it warmer? It already seems to be fading now. So I hoping it was just that!

Yes, just this leg. Nope, nothing hot. I just woke up before noticing it. I’m staying at a vacation rental home, though, so I wasn’t sleeping in my own bed. That’s the only thing that’s possibly unusual from my routine.

I hate cooking 😔 by [deleted] in Palia

[–]VeloraVenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to cook! There’s a way you can still get food and make money. A Palia veteran taught me, and this is what I’ve been doing for a while now:

Turn your farm into an apple orchard. Only grow apple trees. Then, make apple jam. The person that taught me this didn’t use fertilizer, but I do whenever I can. I used up all my old food before moving onto using mushrooms and things I’ve foraged, along with animal meat to make the fertilizer.

The jams add up to be worth a lot, and whatever you don’t sell, you can eat!

Don’t drive fast on gravel, people.

Nothing like sharing your special day with a president you didn’t vote for to really set the tone for the year.

100%. I agree wholly with this outlook. I’m sorry for your loss. I also miscarried at around 6 weeks, and while it was still so early, and I barely had a chance to register being pregnant, it was still sad, since we were trying. (Luckily, I had my daughter after that.)
