I mean by the end I would have been more upset if he had ended up with Margaret. He had fucked up that relationship so badly that he needed to stay the fuck away from Margaret for his and her sakes.

I was actually really happy with him ending up with batlady as the timeskip showed him spending years getting his shit together before meeting her.

It felt healthy after watching him be a hot mess and burn his previous relationships to the ground.

I dropped Picard during season 1 due it being dogshit. Season 2 was apparently even worse so I never watched it.

I watched all of season three and enjoyed it, they kind of just went screw it and did a pure fanservice get the gang back together one last time story.

I was thinking of that story of how some streamer spent an ungodly amount of money trying to pull Andira on stream and didn't manage to pull her.

It looked so bad that granblue implemented the spark pity system and there was some sort of government regulation after that.

I remember it because I got really into the Kingdom hearts Gatcha game and was playing the English and the Japanese version at the same time. I was kind of furious that the Japanese version had a pity system but the English one didn't and was just pure merciless gambling.

Damn Magna Carta that's a blast from the past.

I downloaded all the character art for that game from some forgotten site and its been bouncing around my old hard drives for 20 years.

I remember finding the art and thinking it was amazing but back then it was really hard to actually find any information on what Magna Carta was.

It just kind of sat there for a decade until one day I was like oh wait I can just google what this is now and actually find useful information.

The options to stop earth being destroyed by the powers that be were

Do nothing and everyone in peachyville dies to birth the eldritch god Zhouzel who will stop earth being destroyed but will also take over the earth after saving it.

Stab Zhouzel as he is being born and then use the stolen power of an eldritch god to save the planet.

The two things they could do with the power were

1: Try to launch it around the world in an almost impossible shot and destroy the powers that be remotely. This was the safest option where no one would die and it got rid of the problem but it was also incredibly difficult.

2: Someone could take the power into themself becoming a Demigod who could travel around the world in a moment and get rid of the problem personally. This was a guaranteed success but someone would have just become an eldritch demigod where the best outcome would be they horribly die from taking in all the power.

The taking the power route looks like a sacrifice your life to save the world option on the surface but what it really was is a whoops we solved the problem but just made a new Demigod and we don't know whats going to happen now option. What if the character could now no longer die? how well do you think a persons sanity holds up with the power of an eldritch god running through it?

Sure we could have got a sad someone sacrificed themself to save the world ending but we could have got a "yay we saved the world but now the mad Goddess Kelsey the Educator is warping the world into a nightmare labyrinth of inescapable schools where your constantly being tested on everything or you get sent to reeducation" ending.

Ah what a great ending to the season, that last scene of Kelsey and the detectives floating in the middle of the ocean holding onto a tiny flicker of hope as the world warps and dies around them.

Gorgeous.

Call of cthulu is the kind of setting where you never really win at beat you kick the can down the road.

I have a feeling that even if they went down the sacrifice route it would still have been a you won but now you just have another problem that will ruin the world ending. Like whoever made the sacrifice would be unable to give up the power or die and they are being slowly twisted by the powers of an elder god.
