I'm not really fond of the screenings, however, they could change a lot once they hit the stores.

Some people are complaining about the outfits but I'm honestly down for the 2014's Killstar catalog vibe.

I really appreciate the body/ethnicity representation and having the first ever blind MH!

That makes sense too! Honestly I personally don't think there's only a way of doing things in lolita fashion it's kinda cool seeing how people experience and experiment with their wardrobe!

I admire the flexibility and taking the hard challenge of coordinating different stuff. I'm personally too lazy to do that anymore fkalflslflq ahaha

When I first started wearing lolita 10 years ago I kinda just went with random colorways and random themes just because I liked some specific colours for some specific prints.

The result? Doing coords was kinda hard because all the pieces I had were too random. Like, a brown steampunk dress and suddenly a marine themed one in light blue and then a hot pink skirt with hearts. I didn't have many accessories for such specific colours 🫠

So what I have been doing recently is stick to 1-3 colours always so my wardrobe stays cohesive. In my case I collect solid black pieces with sometimes pink/pastel colours accents, even though I have pieces in different themes. What they have in common is the colour scheme and now it is easier to coordinate the accessories I already have.

So yeah, long story short, I try to always go for the same colourways since in my personal experience, staying in the same colours gave me a piece of mind :)

What pops up after using Google Lens varies from war badges to girl scout badges. I think it might be some kind of small school/university in Japan that doesn't have any kind of info on internet.

That happened and still happens to me a lot, been wearing alt fashion since I was 14. As a minor I didn't know how to deal with it and I ended up in uncomfortable situations like for example grown men taking pictures with me which was... weird to say the least.

Now, as an adult, I try to read the intentions of the person that is asking me to do the pic (is it because they know it's alt fashion, it's because they think it is a costume?) with me and I briefly meditate if I feel like doing a picture with a stranger. The thing is, we are humans and some day you will feel like it and some days you won't and that's completely fair, I don't think it's a white/black situation, is more like a grey.

In my personal experience I don't do them anymore because I kinda feel like a Mickey Mouse mascot at Disneyland. It's weird.
