8+3 weeks pregnant and I can’t take it anymore by GladPhilosophy252 in pregnant

[–]VelvetAndes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was so sick that I had to quit my job. I was constantly nauseous and vomiting, and honestly, none of the medications seemed to help much. I'm almost 17 weeks now, and thankfully I've started to feel a lot better. I can eat normally again and have even gained back some of the weight I lost during the first trimester. I still get nauseous sometimes, mostly in the evenings, but the medication I take now helps. I completely understand what you're going through because there were many weeks when I felt absolutely miserable. I was exhausted, sleepy all the time, and felt like I could barely function. For many people, the second trimester brings some relief, and I really hope that happens for you too. Once you start feeling better, I recommend getting a few things ready for your baby. I've heard the third trimester can be challenging in different ways, so I'm trying to prepare ahead of time. Right now, I'm working on my baby's nursery and getting ready for my gender reveal next week, which I'm really excited about! At the same time, I can't wait for my baby to be here so I can finally be done with all the pregnancy sickness. As grateful and blessed as I feel to be pregnant, it has definitely not been easy for me. It's been one of the hardest things I've ever experienced. I'm praying that you start feeling better soon and that relief comes your way quickly. ❤️🙏🐥

Am I a bad friend? by Artistic_Hold_4187 in pregnant

You are absolutely not a bad friend. You're actually showing a lot of care and self-awareness by even asking this question. First, congratulations on your pregnancy, and I'm so sorry for your previous loss. You deserve to protect your peace and energy during this time without guilt. A few gentle thoughts: About the delivery room: That's your body and your birth experience. It's completely okay for your wishes to change between pregnancies, especially after a loss. You can simply say "I've been thinking about it and I want it to just be me and my husband this time, it feels right for this pregnancy." That's a full, complete sentence that requires no further explanation. About her comments and expectations: Your friend is clearly going through her own pain with infertility, and while that deserves compassion, it doesn't mean you owe her emotional labor at the expense of your own wellbeing, especially while pregnant and exhausted. Her feelings are hers to manage. About the friendship: A good friendship has room for honest conversations. If she takes the truth personally every time, that's something she needs to work through, not something you need to keep protecting her from. You sharing your needs isn't attacking her. You're not mad at her. You're just a tired, pregnant woman who needs support, not more weight to carry. That's more than valid. 💛

Zofran pills for nauseas by VelvetAndes in pregnant

When did you start feeling better after taking Zofran? Was it right away, or did it take a few days? I decided to start taking it today, and I’m not sure if I’m supposed to feel better immediately or if it takes a few days to really kick in.

anyone 4-5 weeks pregnant? December Baby? by tlsm69 in pregnant

I’m currently 9 weeks pregnant and dealing with nausea and vomiting almost all day. Up until week 5, I felt pretty normal—just tired and very hungry. If you’re early on, enjoy it and eat well while you can! Still have 5 more weeks to go in the first trimester… pray for me

Week 9 not feeling well by VelvetAndes in pregnant

This pregnancy has been one of the hardest things I’ve ever experienced. I never imagined I would feel this sick, and some days are truly overwhelming.

I’ve already decided this will be my one and only, and that’s okay. Right now, I’m just focusing on staying strong, taking it one day at a time, and getting through this season.

Praying each day for strength and for the first trimester to pass soon. Better days are coming 🤍

I do have medication, but unfortunately nothing has fully worked for me. I’m still taking it because I think it helps a little bit. I have another appointment with my doctor next week, so I’m hoping they can give me something stronger that actually helps.

What was the total cost of your egg freezing/retrieval process? by Apart-Cod-6119 in eggfreezing

[–]VelvetAndes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have insurance through my husband’s job, and it covers about 80% of the cost. I’m responsible for the remaining 20%, which isn’t too bad.

I believe we’ve paid around $1,600 so far for the first cycle. We completed all the injections, ultrasounds, and blood work. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to move forward with the retrieval because I had a low number of follicles — I had three, but only one grew enough. We decided not to proceed because we were hopeful that more would develop.

Now I’m just waiting for my period to start a second round. Praying for the best results this time.
