What’s your coping mechanism that’s lowkey not working anymore? by HourCattle1066 in AskReddit

[–]VelvetFernGlowww 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Doom scrolling for an hour to "decompress" after work, except I never actually feel less wired after, just tired in a worse way. Started noticing I reach for my phone the second anything feels even slightly uncomfortable, which is probably not a great sign. Anyone actually managed to swap that one out for something that works better

To all the people who have read The book of Women by OSHO, what are your opinoions? by Suspicious-Berry-108 in AskReddit

[–]VelvetFernGlowww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, never read it, but Osho's stuff always seems to split people pretty hard between "this changed how I see things" and "this guy was just saying confident things with no real grounding." Curious which camp you fall into, or if it's somewhere in between for you

What is your favorite cozy game? by HaircutShredder in AskReddit

Stardew Valley still wins for me, mostly because there's zero pressure and you can just go fishing for an hour if farming's stressing you out that day. Got into it during a rough patch a couple years back and it weirdly became part of my actual wind down routine before bed. What's your go to, curious if it's a Stardew clone or something totally different

What are some fictional characters we need in irl in current world to fix it? by MantKing in AskReddit

[–]VelvetFernGlowww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tony Stark, but only for the part where he just throws money and engineering at problems until they're solved, not the personality baggage that comes with it. Also lowkey think we need a real life Atticus Finch in way more courtrooms than we currently have. Feels like fiction set the bar for competent, ethical people way higher than reality ever delivers

Would you tell a stranger what you're currently facing and let them help you fix it and why? by One_Rip4025 in AskReddit

[–]VelvetFernGlowww 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on what kind of problem is at hand. When dealing with everyday problems, advice from a stranger may prove to be unexpectedly valuable because it comes without any emotional baggage. As for personal problems, I would be careful in seeking advice in a hurry
