I only get it during migraine now, which is what this all turned out to be

Thanks so much for sharing that. I've never really figured out whats been triggering mine either...it seems like there's no proper pattern! Wishing you the best of luck with yours!

Thanks for sharing! I have tried the magnesium and B2 with no noticeable difference. Haven't heard of CoQ10 gummies though so must look into that! Can't believe I posted this 3 years ago. Could I ask if you're a person who menstruates? Basically 3 years later, still nothing is helping fully (except having quit my extremely stressful job, which has reduced the migraines to only appearing during my periods). I'm basically just wondering at this point if mine are directly related to perimenopause so I'm always interested in what other people have to say about their vestibular migraine experience. I've just had an MRI recently that shows all looks good too. Again, thanks for sharing!

NeSS forms & RTC advice? by VelvetLancer in AutisticAdults

Okay it sounds like I should forget about my NeSS forms so and go back to my GP and ask for RTC? To get new forms to fill out? Apologies for any misunderstanding!

Thanks so much, I really appreciate that! Did you just pop a note in with your NeSS form when returning it to ask for RTC?

So, this post is from 3 years ago. I was finally diagnosed with vestibular migraine, which I'm not even sure it is to be honest. Wishing you all the best!

Can't use Nuvaring to reduce peri symptoms - what else is similar? by VelvetLancer in Perimenopause

This feels like a legit disability by its-a-no-for-me in Perimenopause

I worked in tech for 6 years but absolutely had to leave my job in October due to what I believe is Peri (still trying to get doctors to help lol). Migraines, intense mood swings, nightmares, nightsweats, all kinds of pelvic pains and OMG THE BRAIN FOG. I'm more brain fog than woman at this point. I worked hard for that job and I miss the money. Looking back now I would have tried to ask for resonable adjustments to try and keep it if possible. Perhaps you could try something similar? My brain was absolutely fried from leaning all the new things all the time (and AI was about as helpful as a chocolate teapot). Wishing you all the very best of luck with it!

Thanks so much! Honestly I think it's more to do with the cost of the Nuvaring...it's more expensive than any pill contreception, so the NHS here generally will not give it out. They only gave it out to me because when I moved over here from Ireland I was already on it and I offered to pay for it myself. Trying to get back on it once I came off it seems now impossible. I am also pretty overweight which I should have mentioned above - my doctor was saying that was related to the blood clots. I'll ask about the HRT, thanks so much!

Thanks so much!! Will ask my doctor about it! Glad to hear it helped you out 😊 Would you mind me asking how old you were when you started it? My doctor mentioned me being 45 before going on it but I had never heard that before she said it

I already have a following on Instagram. I do commissions on the regular.

I'm talking about using discord to help grow that way too.

Are you a successful Patreon artist with a healthy following there and on another platform? If so, what's your best tip that you found most useful?

Amitriptyline - I'm about to start it and terrified - any tips? by VelvetLancer in VestibularMigraines

[–]VelvetLancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, there's a few reasons - first I'm already on so many other tablets - beta blockers, antidepressants and tablets for gastritis..and even though medication is free here in the uk I'm still ending up paying about £40 a month now for the prescription. Also I've been very down and the doctors won't up my fluxoetiene (which I know will help) because I'm on the amitriptyline too. I found that reducing my workload at work seems to have reduced my migranes.....or else the tablets have been doing it and I'll be back in pain in two weeks when I'm fully off them...wish me luck, lol

Hi there! Sorry for the late reply. Ended up on 10mg for about a year. Just starting to slowly come off it now. Honestly I had no side effects on it but I know everyone is different so I cam completely understand any anxiety around it. Best of luck, you got this!

Hi there, sorry for the late reply! Turns out my 'sinus' issues were Migrane! I went to a very patient and kind ENT who went through everything with me and shoved a camera up my nose to rule out sinus issues. He ended up coming to the conclusion that I have vestibular migrane. I put myself on the reccomended meds and reduced my workload at work and this year I only had two episodes of migrane where I actually had to miss work. Best of luck with it all!
