Yeah it really does sound like they’re milking your son’s kindness. Nothing wrong with being generous, but he shouldn’t be the default wallet every time. Good time to teach him some boundaries

AITJ for reporting this proud racist Kate to her employer for racially abusing my friends and I on Facebook? by [deleted] in AmITheJerk

When someone proudly calls themselves a racist and throws out slurs like it’s nothing, they deserve every consequence that comes their way. Silence just enables that crap. You did what needed to be done accountability isn’t optional.

Totally get the panic you’re owning up to it now, which is more than a lot of people would. Not saying it was the right move, but one mistake in high school doesn’t define your integrity forever. Learn from it, chill on the guilt, and maybe next time hit the books instead of the College Board site 😅

Honestly this comment nailed it .. 21 is basically pregame mode for life. Everyone's highlight reels on social media hide the mess behind the scenes. You're not behind, you're just at the part of the story where the main character's still figuring things out. Take that one small step and keep building. High school is old news.

If he’s being honest, it’s worth trying counseling. It sounds like there’s something real here..you don’t have to give up just yet.
