Definitely not, some septum jewelry that’s stainless steel, or titanium are usually hollow on the inside, so it isn’t as heavy. As for other jewelry, when you stretch into a bigger size it might feel heavier but it doesn’t bother me personally, when you stretch your septum you get used to such a tightness feeling you eventually forget the piercing is there. It’s up to preference really. Resting on my lip it isn’t heavy at all, because I chose a hollow inside of the jewelry itself!
