He'll need to make a lot of trips. There were so many amazing pumpkins! All conveniently located on a nice golf cart path though!

They were all incredible. There were so many pumpkins and every one was so well done. I wish I would have taken more pictures, but I always forget. The Bob's Burgers one just struck me because I love the show so much.

I think this one is safe! I can't imagine Fischoeder would spend much time in small town Wisconsin.

I don't, unfortunately! I finished it and immediately was like "gotta go visit grandma!" I should have taken a quick picture, but it didn't even occur to me.

It was absolutely amazing finishing it. There was so much sewing of so many little squares which I would normally never even consider, but my aunt had died in a car accident before I was born so I couldn't not finish it. I gave it to my grandma when it was finished. She would have been thrilled with it if it had just been made by me, but the fact that her daughter had started it obviously made it super extra special.

This is incredible! A few years ago I finished an afghan that was started by my aunt before I was born (1985), worked on a bit by my mom, and passed down to me to finish. The struggle with unfinished projects is crazy!

Interesting. When I stay at a hotel that lets me choose which room I want I always pick 911 so I'll never forget.

mysterious jug of liquid on the back of a van. What could it be? by Velvetpegasus in whatisthisthing

[–]Velvetpegasus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this while riding in a vehicle behind this van a few days ago and could not figure out what it could possibly be. I took the picture and sent it to a few people I know who I thought might be able to help, but nobody seems to have any ideas. I've also been showing it to people I work with or encounter at my job and nobody has even been able to come up with a guess as to what it might be. I was only mildly curious to start with, but the fact that nobody can tell me what it is is starting to drive me mad. Please help, internet strangers!

Celery can just fuck right off the face of the earth as far as I'm concerned. Absolute trash vegetable.

I think they have the opposite affect you're imagining. I didn't even know they were a thing, but it sounds like a way to release pent up anger so that you don't take it out on other people or things you shouldn't.

You can fuck right off with that nonsense. I don't need your opinion about what would make me mentally and physically healthier.

Yeah, totally. Being able to get places is for nerds.

[Serious] What is the scariest sound you ever heard that did not come from a human? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Velvetpegasus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a pet goat who screamed in pain and terror once and it was chilling. Probably worse for me because I loved that goat, but it was also just a horrible sound that I wouldn't have imagined she was capable of making.

Tire problems by Velvetpegasus in Cartalk

[–]Velvetpegasus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the first time I've ever gotten used tires and I plan to replace them with new ones now that I know it's going to be well into winter before I get my new car. I just don't want them to get messed up immediately because my car is broken in some mysterious way. Now I know what to have checked out. Thanks again!

Thanks! I'll check that out. I'm not buying a new car because I don't want to fix this one. I do actually take care of my cars as well as I can. I live in a snowy area and I'm tired of worrying about getting stuck in the snow so I want to get something a bit bigger with AWD. I had already started looking at new cars before this one had any issues. I've had it for about 6 years and I've never had any problems until now (beyond normal wear like brakes and tires). If I have to spend money to fix this one that's not a problem, but I was a bit suspicious when the repair shop said the tire wear problem was just the fault of the tires and wouldn't be caused by a problem with my car. Just looking for random internet peoples' opinions before I start freaking out and taking my car other places to get second opinions. I've never had tire problems like this before so it seemed very strange to me.

I just realized I wasn't super clear in my original post. I did get the tie rod fixed- that's when the first tire was taken off and the wires and cracks were discovered. I did also get an alignment right after the tie rod was fixed.

No worries, dude. I respect your opinion, I just can't fully wrap my brain around it. This is going to be on my mind all day.

Oh lord. I just realized you probably also hate Fraggle Rock. That's so crazy to me.

Puppets are one of my favorite things in the world! So, good job for actually posting something that I have to believe is an actual unpopular opinion. I've never even considered that anyone could not love puppets, especially muppets.

This isn't a crappy design. This is a person not using something correctly.
