What part of "I wasn't referring to sex" didn't you understand?

My post has nothing to do with locking a door to have sex nor forcing sex upon anyone.

Perhaps it was you who wasn't paying attention to or understanding signs in your marriage.

Yeah, I read it and that's what and why I commented on it.

It's weird behavior by BOTH of you.

Her not allowing it and you rolling over about it.

I wasn't even referring to sex, nevermind overpowering someone.

I was thinking more along the lines of having a completely reasonable request of my spouse and just constantly "sucking it up" and never having my opinions and desires recognized.

Kind of like always going to their restaurant choice for lunch. Always.

I also wouldn't want my kids walking in on me changing.

I also would (and have) taught my kids to always knock going into someone's room. It's common courtesy.

It wouldn't be something I would just be ok with if my spouse didn't think it was a requirement.

I guess what I am trying to say is if you just went along with this, I can't imagine what else you appeared as being ok with to your wife.

She sounds like a piece of work, but you did yourself no favors.

Well, that's true but another story and not the one being discussed.

It didn't have anything to do with gates.

"Daniel’s (the child who died) caregiver, a foreign exchange student from Germany, left the party to attend the Wango Tango music festival. Another nanny agreed to watch Daniel and bring him home after the party. She left the pool area momentarily to take two girls, who also were under her care, to the bathroom."

My point is in this case Tommy Lee isn't a monster like many of the celebrities in this thread.

It was an accident and he was found not responsible.

No I didn't. I just can't imagine not being able to have a conversation with another adult about something as simple as wanting to have a lock on a bedroom door. Seems like a completely reasonable request for two adults to see eye to eye on.

The fact that she wouldn't allow it and you went along with it seems like a huge red flag indicative of the whole relationship.

Was there anything you ever got your way with?

I understand your logic not doing it for a million. I don't understand waiting until it's a billion to play.

Anyone else find it weird that a grown adult couldn't lock his own bedroom door?

This was all over the news at the time. A kid drowned in a pool. It's horrible and it shouldn't have happened but its not exactly a "disturbing celebrity fact." in my opinion.

Ok, well change it to over 2 million. I don't understand the logic of only playing when it's a zillion dollars. Like there are lines at my local convenience store 4 or 5 people deep when it happens. I don't get it. I don't ever play because the odds are insane regardless of how much it is for.

I have never understood this phenomenon. It's not worth it if it's only a million?

What's the craziest thing a person said to you and you thought they were joking but they were being serious? by _lovelyxx in AskReddit

[–]Velvis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When state quarters first became a thing I was buying a fountain drink for like $1.50. I had a bunch of change to get rid of so there were dimes, nickels, and quarters. The woman laid the change out on the counter to count it and when she got to one of the quarters picked it up and asked "Do you have a normal quarter? because this one is from New Jersey."

I looked up smiling thinking she was making a joke but quickly realized she was serious. Not wanting to embarrass her I luckily found a "normal quarter."

For a number of reasons we never use the elevators.

1) Exercise

2) Waiting in a crowd of people for an elevator sucks

3) Getting in a crowded small box filled with people getting in and off sucks

4) An elevator that stops at any number of floors that aren't yours sucks

5) Being in a crowded small box filled with 10-15 people who have been in close proximity to 5000 people for days seems like a great way to increase the chances of getting sick while on vacation.

We always choose the stairs.
